Once there was an ancient city famed for its artistry & architecture, invaded by an Islamic fanatic who massacred its citizens & destroyed its temples to build mosques. Today he is called the founder of that city known by his name.

This is the story of Karnavati & Ahmed Shah ImageImage
2
Millennia ago, Vedic Rishi Dadhichi is said to have built an Ashram on the banks of the Sabarmati river. Legend also knew him as Ashvashira (One with Horse’s head). This is likely the root of the word Ashaval which was the ancient name of the city near the site of Ahmedabad. ImageImageImage
3
In 11th c., Al Biruni referred to a great trading center in Gujarat called Ashaval, famed for its rich brocade fabric “Ashapalli” depicting Hindu motifs of gods, animals & nature. These intricate designs defined the arts of the city, reflected even in its temples & stepwells. ImageImageImageImage
4
In late 11th c. Chalukya Raja Karna conquered Ashaval & founded Karnavati. He built the Kochharva (Kaushalya) Devi temple (now Kochrab) & a water reservoir, Karna Sagar (now Karnsagar). The city was also called Rajnagar/Shrinagar as Jain traders & worship enriched it to prosper ImageImageImage
5
By 1391, Muzaffar Shah I (Zafar Khan) rebelled against the Tughluqs during Timur's invasion & seized Gujarat. He had his own son poisoned & let his grandson Ahmed lead the army. Ahmed’s cruel nature made him poison his own grandfather as revenge & grab the throne in 1410-11. Image
6
In 1413-14, Ahmed Shah defeated the Bhil chief of Ashaval, looting & massacring the city's inhabitants & destroying Hindu/Jain structures. He reused their desecrated remains to "build" Islamic mosques & palaces & changed the name of the city to call it Ahmedabad after himself. ImageImage
7
In true Islamic tradition, Ahmed Shah’s entire life was a series of Jihads against Kafir Hindus & their gods. In 1414, he ordered destruction of Hindu Murtis & temples all over Gujarat. Savage attacks were unleashed to convert infidels by the sword & Jizya was imposed by force. Image
8
In 1415, Ahmed attacked the holy town of Siddhpur desecrating the famous Rudramahalaya temple & forcibly building a mosque on top of the broken remains. Rajputs tried to oppose him, but by 1418, Ahmed also plundered Champaner & Sankheda demolishing temples to make mosques. ImageImageImageImage
9
Ahmed terrorized Hindus by demanding their daughters for his harem. Some Rajput chiefs retaliated by tricking him & marrying their daughters off, but there were horrific incidents where Hindu fathers killed themselves due to the dishonor caused by Ahmed’s molestations & torture ImageImageImage
10
In 1411, Ahmed "founded" Ahmedabad by enslaving Hindu craftsmen & looting pillars, ceilings & Murtis from destroyed Hindu/Jain temples cast into walls & foundations of mosques. Ahmed’s “new city” was built on broken remains of Chandravati, Anhilvad & ruins of Karnavati ImageImageImage
11
Ahmedabad's "foundation" stone was laid atop a Hindu Jogi’s domicile near the north west tower of the existing Bhadra fort in the city. When he resisted, Ahmed declared him a sorcerer & usurped the land. The tower is known as Manik Burj & Manik Jogi was buried alive there. Image
12
The Bhadra fort was named after the city’s patron Devi Bhadrakali. It served as the strongest Mughal fort in India. In 1875, Hindu stone carvings were unearthed at the site, with an inscription dated to 1303 AD showing it was a Hindu fort before Ahmed Shah captured it. ImageImageImageImage
13
The first structure Ahmed “built” inside the Bhadra is Ahmed’s mosque. Pillars & panels displaying desecrated Hindu Murtis are clearly visible in this mosque. The latticed “Princesses Gallery” is completely Hindu & further proof that the mosque was raised on top of a temple. ImageImage
14
Broken remains of Hindu & Jain temples are found all over Ahmed's mosque. One of the pillars contains an old Gujarati-Sanskrit inscription from 1251 AD (150 years before Ahmed) from the reign of Visaladeva, recording the gift of a trellis window in the temple of Uttaresvara. ImageImageImage
15
The famous Jami Masjid was also supposedly "built" by Ahmed in 1424. Hindu carvings are apparent in its internal gate snatched from a temple, Inside the central hall arch is a beautiful black marble slab, which was the back of the holy Murti of Parasnath, the 23rd Jain saint. ImageImageImageImage
16
Similarly Haibat Khan’s (one of Ahmed’s nobles) Masjid has a HIndu dome & richly ornamented pillars taken from different desecrated temples. The famous shaking minarets & Sidi Bashir’s mosque are also of Hindu/Jain origin as they depict niches which previously held Murtis. ImageImageImage
17
Ahmed Shah decimated a magnificent, prosperous city, desecrating Hindu/Jain temples, disfiguring the remains into mosques & massacring thousands. One can only imagine the glory of the original Karnavati with its 2 forts, 360 Puras (suburbs), glorious temples & teeming markets. ImageImage
18
Tragically the only broken fragments left of the ancient Hindu site are ruins in the village of Asarva, where Dada Harir & Mata Bhavani stepwells are found. Said to be built by the Pandavas, Mata Bhavani well is the last standing ruin of the grandeur of Ashaval/Karnavati. ImageImage
19
It is a travesty that despite overwhelming evidence of the city's ancient Hindu & Jain heritage, Ahmed Shah is honored as the founder of Ahmedabad, when he was the destroyer of its original identity. It's an insult to the spirits of millions of ancestors who built Karnavati. ImageImage
20
To correct civilizational wrongs, cities’ names must reflect their true identity as proven by historical evidence. We must honor those who actually built Karnavati not destroyed it - by renaming the city. It's high time Ahmed Shah's name is thrown in the dustbin of history Image

Kayasthas share no "kinship" with Islamic culture. They are said to descend from Chitragupta, divine scribe of the gods. The first specific inscription referring to Kayasthas is from Mathura (93 CE) & records the gift of a Buddha by the Kayastha Sramana, a professional scribe. Image
2
Another very early Hindu record of Kayasthas is from the Damodarpur Copper Inscription of Kumara Gupta 1 (442 CE) which lists Prathama Kayasthas & Kayasthas. Many of the names mentioned in the inscription such as Pala, Kundu, Datta, etc. still exist as Kayastha surnames today. ImageImageImage

Kshemendra's Narmamala during king Ananta's reign (Kashmir, 1028 CE) gives a list of Kayastha officers. Their function was revenue collection, record-keeping collecting duties & general administration. Kayasthas made up the bulk of the bureaucratic class in ancient India. ImageImageImage

Pakistan was Winston Churchill's pet project - he saw it as the best way to retain Britain's influence over India & threaten the "Hindu Baboos" that he hated so much. Churchill was in raptures when the Muslim League wanted to break India as early as March 1940. ImageImage
2
Churchill wanted to give Muslims Pakistan in exchange for their support as 3/4ths of Indian Army helping the British. When Roosevelt suggested Indian Independence, Churchill sent him the "Muslim view" via Jinnah's letter asking for Pakistan as the price for Muslim cooperation! ImageImage
3
To Churchill - Hindus whom he suspected of pro-Japanese tendencies were NOT to be trusted. He sent Roosevelt the Punjab Governor's letter warning of disaster if Muslims were not supported. He warned "on no account must we break with the Muslims" or India would go into chaos. ImageImage

Did you know that Rome used vast quantities of iron & steel imported from India in 1st-2nd AD? Pliny references finest iron coming from the Seres (Chera or Kerala). The secret of where the famous fine Indian steel swords were produced, was jealously guarded by Arabs & Axumites. ImageImage
2
The Arabs, Parthians, Axumites were all intermediaries in the trade of highly sought Indian products like steel & foodstuffs. They kept their Indian sources secret to gain trade monopolies. The Arabs even fooled the Romans into believing some products were Arabian & not India. ImageImage
The Greeks knew that the best Parthian metals were actually Indian & had secret treatises on the tempering of Indian steel. The Romans used Indian iron & steel to create cutlery, swords & armor. This likely played a part in the eventual development of the famous Damascus steel. ImageImageImage

Unlike trolls, I do not make claims without evidence.
On April 1831, when RM Roy landed in England he carried a letter of introduction from William Roscoe, a famous Unitarian lawyer who clearly says in his letter that Ram Mohun Roy was a "convert from Hinduism to Christianity". Image
A few months before Roy's death, his close friends Reverend Foster & medical advisor Mr. Estelin, both attested that he had personally strongly expressed his belief in Christianity to them during their discussions with him about his religious beliefs . ImageImage
It is often said that Roy refused to be buried by Christian rites out of loyalty to his Hindu faith, but the testimony of his hosts in England shows that this was only due to his fear that if he was buried as a Christian, his children would lose their inheritance by Hindu Law. ImageImage

What was Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s (RRMR) real legacy? His true desire was to erase Hinduism from India, & turn it into an English speaking, CHRISTIAN nation, occupied physically, mentally & spiritually by the Europeans. Image
2
In July, 1832 the British Parliament was debating whether to send more settlers to occupy India, On July 14th, RM Roy submitted his official position called “Remarks on Settlement in India by Europeans” which exhorted them to send many more Europeans to occupy India completely. ImageImage
3
In it, RM Roy pointed out possible dangers such as Indians revolting if they become too wealthy & “intelligent” thanks to European influence. But this would be no problem if British converted India into a CHRISTIAN country with the same “language, religion & manners” as Britain ImageImage

Raja Ram Mohan Roy was a Hindu "reformer" for only one purpose - he wanted British to mass occupy India, interbreed with the natives, turn India into a fully English speaking & CHRISTIAN nation as a mere extension of Britain to convert other Asian nations.
Thread coming very soon
For those of you who may not have read my previous thread on Raja Ram Mohan Roy - here it is.
