THREAD - A look in to the data comparing the current Manchester United striking department to the strikers we’ve been linked with.
In my opinion Manchester United should be looking to sign two new centre forwards.
Martial has given United his best days and unfortunately isn’t what he used to be, reoccurring injuries with lengthy time on the sidelines cannot be relied upon.
Harry Kane.
My preferred choice, a World Class striker that offers consistency in-front of goal and a ridiculous passing range. An opportunity to have multiple goal scorers in our front line again, with an added benefit of allowing our midfielders to make 3rd man runs when Kane… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Victor Osimhen.
The other notable striker on the verge of becoming World Class, a Serie A title winner and a hero of Napoli. I don’t doubt we’d be able to convince him to join but it won’t be easy.
Gonçalo Ramos.
After a recent impressive World Cup at only 21 years of age, Ramos has gone on to fire Benfica to the Liga NOS title, contributing to 21 goals in the league and 7 in the UCL.
Evan Ferguson.
Although he’s recently signed a new contract that doesn’t eliminate Evan out of a move. More than likely it could be one for a future season, but I can’t help but think SAF would of had him snapped up in January before he signed a new deal. An old school centre… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Rasmus Hojlund.
At 20 years of age Hojlund has shown bags of quality already. Manchester United’s current state, we need two centre forwards. If we do sign a player like Harry Kane who’s going to give us 3-5 years at the top level, Hojlund would be a perfect understidy.
Marcus Thuram.
Out of contract and an easy deal to make. If we choose to spend our funds in other areas of the squad, signing a player on a free that is regularly available that can actually score goals is a much better rotational choice than Weghorst for when Martial is… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Karim Benzema.
It’s recently been in the papers that Benzema is looking for a move away from Real Madrid to Saudi. Could Casemiro and Varane convince a fellow Galactico to join them in Manchester? Not that I think it’s likely to happen, I certainly wouldn’t be against it.
The most noticeable point is of course the goals.
If United really want to compete again we need to be in a position where we have multiple goal scorers. City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc have a strong selection of players able to score goals whilst we’re solely relying on Rashford… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Ole has spent a staggering £441 million on players.
Only 2 of these have been midfield players. Bruno is being used as a 10 and VDB can’t get a sniff and has been used in central midfield in cup games.
The midfield is the obvious standout for failure to rebuild.
Fred - Not Good Enough
McTominay - Not Good Enough
Pereria - Not good enough
Matic - 33 years of age
Pogba - Probably going to leave
Lingard - Surplus to requirement
VDB - Probably wants to leave
Bruno - Staying
