Tonight protesters with @ClimateDefiance blockaded the street outside @SenSchumer's New York home to demand he reject the #DebtCeilingAgreement, which they call a "Dirty Deal" for fast-tracking fossil fuel projects.
"We are tired of Chuck Schumer and politicians like him pretending they are climate champions, but they are shills for billionaires," said a @ClimateDefiance activist before they began to march.
"Chuck Schumer, shame on you! We deserve a future too!" chanted the climate activists as they blocked the roads outside Senator Schumer's NYC home, prompting drivers to honk.
"You know what's even more inconvenient than a lot of traffic? Climate change!" a speaker expllained.
