In 2011, when Harper's conservatives got a majority, there was a widespread, illegal, voter suppression campaign. Liberal and NDP voters were called on election day and were told their polling stations had moved.

In the weeks leading up to the 2011 election, Liberal supporters in key ridings received fake calls (traced to U.S. numbers) late at night rudely demanding money for the Liberal Party. This was done to anger voters and either get them to flip or to not vote.

Harper won a majority government in 2011 by just 6,201 votes in 14 key ridings - thanks to an illegal campaign of suppression that appears to have been helped along by Republicans in the USA.

Now we have key Republican propaganda artists like Roger Stone and Tucker Carlson clearly and openly helping the extremists in the rightwing in Canada like Danelle Smith and Pierre Poilievre. Republicans poured money into the "Trucker" Protests and anti-vax crap here.

We have Russia Today massively boosting all sorts of disinformation against Canada, vaccines, Trudeau and Freeland.
Musk's hellsite version of Twitter is an anti-liberal, hate-filled, extremist, disinformation, propaganda machine now.

So yeah, there should be a public inquiry into foreign interference. It should go all the way back to 2011 and involve interference from China, the USA, Russia, Saudi Arabia & anywhere else where campaigns for or against any Canadian politician or party have occurred.

The foreign interference inquiry should include foreign disinformation campaigns aimed at climate denial, vaccines, "globalist" (rules) fear-mongering, pro-Russia war crimes... all of it. ALL OF IT.
