I’m driving in the Homestead-Florida City area and I’ve encountered 4 closed restaurants, 3 of which have posted signs outside. Have you seen anything like this today? Take a photo, write down the address and please reply to this tweet. #immigration#Florida
Here are two more closed businesses in Washington Ave., Homestead. #immigration#Florida

I can’t say exactly how many businesses closed in the Florida City-Homestead area in Miami-Dade, but I’ve personally seen about 15 closed, most with signs posted outside about the #UnDíaSinInmigrantes / #parolaboral. #immigration#Florida
Hundreds are marching right now in Downtown Homestead against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ immigration crackdown “El pueblo unido, jamás será vencido,” they chant.
With a very rough estimate, I’d say that around 500 people are marching in Downtown Homestead against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ immigration law. Some drivers are honking in support; one said in Spanish: “I am Cuban but I support you.” @MiamiHerald
Mostly Brown folks — including teens, kids and babies — are part of the march across Downtown Homestead in South Florida. They are protesting Florida’s immigration law, which a huge chunk of it becomes effective July 1. @MiamiHerald
The group has marched twice around Downtown Homestead. They are so many that it’s impossible to catch the beginning and end of the march unless you are in a helicopter or maybe a tall building. “The people, United, will never be defeated” and “Yes we can are some of the chants.
Besides the amount of people present, the other thing that caught my attention at this Día sin inmigrantes march is that virtually anybody seems sad. They are energized, firm with their beliefs and often smiling.
