Dr Ambedkar challenged the pretensions of the Congress Party as fundamentally representative of a unified India that accords equal respect to all the caste groups by citing the election results of 1937.

Ambedkar did not fit the Congress-Left definition of secularism. For Congress and Nehru, as well as the Dravidian parties, only those who criticize Hindus are considered secular, so he did not fit that hegemonic definition of who is secular.

● #Thread | According to satellite imagery, China has built at least 22 villages & settlements over the past 8 years within territory that has traditionally been part of Bhutan, with 8 villages emerging in areas in proximity to the strategic Doklam plateau since 2020.

The eight villages in Bhutan’s western sector, close to Doklam, are all strategically located in a valley or a ridge overlooking a valley that China claims, and several are close to Chinese military outposts or bases.

The largest of the 22 villages detected by observers and researchers – Jiwu, built on a traditional Bhutanese pastureland known as Tshethangkha – is also located in the western sector.

Gandhi’s ‘experiments with celibacy :

Gandhi set up ashrams where he conducted his experiments, with boys &girls bathing & sleeping together.

But they were to maintain chastity, they would be punished if there were any sexual talks.

The rules of ashram had forbidden married couples living in the ashram to sleep together & Gandhi had advised that the husbands should not be alone with their wives.

When they felt passion, they should take a cold bath, he had further advised.
