So, he gets "fired" for proposing that we kill Americans

Then he gets sent somewhere where false flags killing civilians is a key part of the job

Sounds like he got a promotion to me.

Meanwhle, CIA officer William King Harvey also got 'fired' by JFK. In his case it was for sending armed raids into Cuba during the Missile Crisis.

Where was Harvey sent next?

Rome.

As Chief of Station, Rome, Harvey would frequently visit the secret Gladio headquarters on the island of Sardinia

With Lemnitzer and Harvey we have two cold warriors who were supposedly "punished" and "fired" but ended up in the perfect place for a person like them: Rome, GLADIO HQ on Sardinia. Right in the mix of violent covert action.

Lemnitzer was strange. "Known somewhat for his eccentric personality, instead of carrying in place a regulation M1911 semi-automatic pistol which was commonly used by general officers, General Lemnitzer preferred to carry a long-barrelled M-16 Rifle as his personal firearm"

He's carrying around a long barelled M-16 into meetings and events.

Most officers had a sidearm on their hip.

Lyman Lemnitzer was on the Rockefeller Commission.
This committee was put together after the Church Committee exposed intelligence community crimes.

The goal of the Rockefeller Commission was to load the committee up with people who were friendly to the intelligence community and then have them produce a report absolving the IC of any crimes.

It was a classic limited hang-out. By putting Lemnitzer on that committee, they knew they had a guy who was very comfortable with murdering civilians in the name of "anti-Communism" -- totally comfortable with false flags.

Other members of the 'Rockefeller Committee' (United States President's Commission on CIA Activities within the United States) included Ronald Reagan and behind the scenes activity by Dick Cheney.

Ultimately, the Rockefeller Commission was put together by an ex-Warren Commission guy (Gerald Ford) and he staffed it with Ronald Reagan, David Belin (Warren Commission guy), and Lemnitzer, the psychopath who approves of murdering civilians in covert ops. Sus much?
