I am guessing our train routing and signalling systems are interconnected and online?

Something is not adding up.
From what I'm reading, if there is ANY issue, immediately all signals are supposed to go red - just simply stop all trains...no movement, that much more safety...

Yet it looks like all remained green in spite of certain conditions.

Q1: Did a glitch occur in the sw that left the lights green.
Q2: Was a glitch engineered by either physical or cyber means?
Q3: Were physical equipments tampered with?
Q4: Is it possible that any tampering ++

++ that may have been done, could have been done several days before the incident?
Q5: If our systems are online how vulnerable it is to cyber attacks?

I cannot forget the "fight the infrastructure comment" - hence the question.
Was the comment a signal?

Also seen Yuri Bezmenov's interviews and lectures that explain, how powers use local resources to further their aims.

I think we should become mentally prepared ++

Going a step further:

India is exporting a lot in the Railway sector.
Would it be unreasonable to predict that we will see something horrific at a buyer site/system, so that the impact on railways "infrastructure" is magnified?

Too often now, though, we have seen the ruthlessness of certain countries - the extents to which they are willing to destroy other countries ++

Can we remain ostriches?
Innocent until proven guilty is fine in the court rooms.
Should we, in daily life abandon our instincts, which warn us of imminent danger, to be politically correct, and say "let the law take its own course"?++

Are we doing ourselves a favour by refusing to think that any disaster can be the result of sabotage?
Can we go too far in this "innocent until proven guilty" business?

Ports - done. Dented but failed. Company survived.
Railways - done. @AshwiniVaishnaw's resignation demanded on "moral grounds". No resignation. Rather a declaration that no culprit will go scott free.

Other companies working on public infra need to ramp up security.
