1/9 📜On Friday, @HBCoop_ hosted a 3 Hour Twitter Space about latest developments in Generative AI and VR/AR (So far, 2,000 people tuned in!)

Speakers included:
@Scobleizer, @bilawalsidhu, @AnnGreenberg, @angrypenguinPNG

I used Claude-Instant-100K (not ChatGPT) to take notes. twitter.com/i/web/status/1… Image
2/🍏 The Apple AR/VR headset was a primary focus. Talk of eye sensors tracking your gaze, even predicting where you'll look next. Imagine typing just by looking at a keyboard? is the market ready for mass adoption? The next 6-9 months should tell. #AppleVR Image
3/📸 Ever heard of Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs)? An AI takes 2D images, processes them and hallucinates a 3D scene. Luma AI was suggested as an accessible tool to experiment with this tech. #NeRFs Image
4/🎨 As the cost of creating content approaches ZERO, a democratization of 3D content creation is underway. Traditional media and content creation industries might face a major shake-up, allowing everyday people to participate and receive compensation for their contributions. Image
5/💼 The paradigm is shifting - we are moving from monetizing consumption to monetizing creation. With an explosion of content, new business models will have to evolve. The whole economic structure might change, and that's a disruption worth waiting for. #FutureBusiness Image
6/📲 Apparently mobile devices might be the gateway to spatial computing. With Apple focusing on phones and iPads, these devices will bridge the gap, allowing people to get acquainted with AR before headsets become mainstream. #AugmentedReality Image
7/💡 The potential impacts of VR and AR are mind-blowing. From immersive learning experiences, like watching live surgeries for training, to entertainment and even pain management. A snowball game in VR even reduced pain in burn victims 5x more than morphine! #SpatialComputing Image
8/👥 A big concern was the balance between the virtual and real world. If it takes off, how to we make sure we don't lose touch with reality? Humans can be weird sometimes, and that is a good thing and something we should embrace. Image
9/✨ That's my wrap of this week's AR and VR insights from Heather's 3-hour deep-dive Twitter Space.

1/ Check it Heather's Live Twitter Space below
2/ Comment with your prediction about where you think VR and AR is headed

1/ 🧵Have you guys heard of "StyleDrop" yet?

It lets you input ONE image as a style reference, and then prompt NEW images in that style.

(It's a Google Research paper, so you know they will wait until the LAST moment to give us access).

2/ So here's a flower that is melting gold. Using this image as the style reference, you can start prompting LETTERS! Adobe Firefly, Google is looking at you 👀 Image
3/ Here's a wooden viking face with a beard. Using this image, you can start prompting letters in that style. Image

1/9✍️ Just finished listening to a 45 minute podcast episode from @AiBreakfast with @SumanPersonalAI from @Personalai.

Took some notes for you guys (so you don't have to).

Here's the first key idea: "Don't solve the human, solve the problem." Image
2/9✍️ I think that's the mantra of Personal AI?

Apparently it started with filling in the gaps in blind people's vision. Then they transitioned into filling the gaps in our memory and cognition.

Pretty freaking cool.
3/9🤯 This got me thinking - Personal AI isn't about making us obsolete. It's about enhancing our individuality.

It's like having a virtual twin that knows YOUR thoughts and opinions, and can articulate them for you.
