As we move through #PrideMonth, I look back on the LBGTQ+ accounts I've followed and/or interacted with over the past several months.
Interesting to note that several of them have occured after Elon bought Twitter and opened the doors for homophobes, transphobes, xenophobes, etc.
I can't say that's a coincidence or that E-Mu had anything to do with it, but it motivated those in the LGBTQ+ community to fight for their voice, lest they get drowned out by all the encouraged hate. Especially towards trans people. I've gained the most from them in this time.
With politicians, religious figures and other ignorami basically saying trans people don't deserve rights, even a right to life (death threats, shootings and even laws that could jeopardize their lives), I have to step up and say HELL NO to the haters and instigators.
If my fellow man/woman/they/them/enby/etc wants the same rights as me, let them have the fucking rights! It won't bother me one bit. That's the problem with a lot of these anti-LGBTQ+ people: somehow this will inconvenience their lives enough where they have to put a stop to it.
That's why we had the boycotts against Bud Light, Target, stuff like that. They all wanted to include everyone with their marketing and acceptance, but some people don't like that, so they whined, bitched, complained and made total assholes of themselves on social media.
I'm starting to ramble and a lot of you probably stopped caring (if you cared already), so I'll sum it up.
LGBTQ+ people out there...I'm in your corner. I will support and defend you and your rights as best I can. #PrideMonth2023 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
