In March 1947, Muslims massacred & brutally raped 1000s of Hindus & Sikhs in Rawalpindi. Muslim homes were saved by a white flag, & Hindu/Sikh homes roofs were marked to be slaughtered. Gandhiji told victims to willingly die as service to Muslims, while carrying out God's work.

At least 7000 died according to official estimates, but thousands more deaths were not even recorded because they were burnt to ashes. 80,000 Hindus & Sikhs fled in just one month. It was an orgy of violent rape, mutilation & slaughter especially on non-Muslim women & children.

Lakhs of Hindus & Sikhs' houses were marked by fanatic Muslim predators during Rawalpindi riots, to be raped, tortured & slaughtered.
Gandhiji was not ashamed by their genocide but told the agonized victims to DIE willingly & serve Muslims!
