2/ Not only does it show Raskin lied, but Wray has moved from playing games to a cover-up. And @ChuckGrassley and @RepJamesComer know it. Pretending this was about Giuliani was silly spin that might work with public, but claiming Barr & Brady shut it down is more nefarious.

3/ I'd also argue stupid because did they really think Barr wouldn't correct them? And with that correction we now know so much more about underlying scandal: This investigation was sent to Delaware BUT FBI Headquarters shut down the FD-1023 first.

4/ And in shutting down the FD-1023 FBI HQ hid the FD-1023 in a sub-file not accessible to any agents except the Pitts. ones--again facts the FBI made clear through leaks coupled with whistleblower. We also know there was an earlier FD-1023 from 2017 that involved these

5/ allegations. Auten's assessment is huge here because it came in August not in January when the material supposedly part of assessment arrived but only after June 30 FD-1023. And as Grassley asked how did they decide what to include in assessment.

6/ Grassley's question is telling especially when read in light of this thread because it means the assessment wasn't about the FD-1023 but about something else and per Comer's team that something else came in January 2020 (which was Giuliani's info).

7/ The FBI's leaks that this came from Pittsburgh coupled Raskin's statements got me searching and hit upon this: secretservice.gov/press/releases… Total speculation, obviously, but I'd wager they had a "highly credible" CHS involved there. PLUS

10/ This is huge now but will only get bigger because both Grassley and Comer have kept close to the vest what they have. They always had the June 30, 2020 FD-1023 & only revealed when FBI pretended form might not exist. We now know they also have 2017 FD-1023.

11/ FBI and legacy press running cover for them is going to keep being blindsided. It wouldn't surprise me if Grassley and Comer already have all the receipts showing the alleged FD-1023 bribery scheme was executed with the web of businesses & financials in hand.
