The PRC will restrict file-sharing. According to a draft just released, new rules aim to limit the use of any “file transfer services that rely on Wi-fi, Bluetooth, and other information technologies to form networks instantly and communicate to other devices over a short-range”.
... Why? Because of "national security" concerns. That means: Protesters in Hong Kong and the mainland have used file-sharing to coordinate. But emperor Xi Jinping doesn't want his subjects to coordinate or even organise. An atomized population is easier to oppress. #Totalitarian
