League 2 side Morecambe were highly requested

So here are 5 players they could look at based on YOUR suggestions

Remember to comment your team + 5 positions below 👇 Image
GK: Jonathan Mitchell

Morecambe will need a new stopper, one with EFL experience and Mitchell has that in abundance. He didn’t have his strongest campaign, but I still believe there’s a keeper in there

A commanding keeper, Mitchell is still only 28 and is available on a free Image
CM: Craig Clay

I’m suggesting even more experience here, as League 2 title winner Clay is in need of a new home. He’s been based in the North West before, so the geography works

A battler in midfield, Clay brings valuable experience and grit to any midfield he’s in Image
CM: Dan Ward/Owen Bailey

Both Ward and Bailey turned down deals to stay at Gateshead, suggesting they have their eyes on a bigger move. And while NL clubs will be interested, I feel both capable of the step up

Either would represent good business on a free. Both have potential ImageImage
Winger: Rob Apter

Young attacking midfielder Apter remains under contract at Blackpool after an impressive loan at Scunthorpe

A loan move and a subsequent step up in division would work for his development. The geography works here too. A player with match winning quality Image

🧵David McGoldrick - #Notts

A thread I wasn’t sure I’d be making at the start of the summer. But he’s here, and so is the thread!

Here we look at McGoldrick’s style, and how he will fit into Luke Williams’ system Image
You’re going to see throughout this thread the immense quality he possesses

But I wanted to start with something else; his work ethic and ability to press

McGoldrick is a tireless worker, one who has the quality to produce when he turns the ball over high up
I’ve seen many people question whether a 35 year old would suit our high intensity. Hopefully these clips will put those fears to bed

He will replace what Ruben provides; an intelligent presser who, once he wins the ball back, has the required ability to produce quality moments

🧵Sensible Transfers: #BCFC

Championship side Birmingham City have been highly requested

So here are 5 players they could look at based on YOUR suggestions

Remember to comment your team + 5 positions below 👇 Image
CB: Julio Pleguezuelo

Picked out by @ as being one to make the move across to the EFL, former Arsenal youth Pleguezuelo is available on a free after his contract expired with FC Twente

A capable ball player, I feel he would be perfect in a back 3,making him an attractive option Image
CB: Taylor Moore

He’s been touted for a League 1 move following his release from Bristol, but I believe he’s more than good enough to remain in the Championship

Moore is capable either as a CB or a WB, which makes him perfect in the current system Image

🧵Sensible Transfers: Chorley

NLN club Chorley have been highly requested

Here are 5 players they could look at based on YOUR suggestions

Remember to comment your team + 5 positions below 👇 Image
RB: Oscar Threlkeld

This may seem like an ambitious one, but Threlkeld only managed 8 games during his loan at Oldham. He’s been let go by Bradford but at 29 I believe he still has a lot to offer

He is comfortable both right back & central midfield so covers 2 needed positions Image
CM: Dan Gallimore

20 year old Gallimore is capable of playing in both central midfield, as well as at right back, making him an ideal candidate for this list

Recently released by Scunthorpe, Gallimore is a talented young midfielder, who has experience despite his young age Image

🧵Sensible Transfers: #SAFC

Championship side Sunderland have been highly requested. I’ve tried to follow their recent pattern of signing too

So here are 5 players they could look at based on YOUR suggestions

CB: Pontus Jansson

Sunderland need some experience at the back, and what better way to get that than add a former Championship promotion winner

Jansson hasn’t played too many games in the PL this season, but when he has he’s done okay. A solid addition at the back. Leader Image
CM: Jensen Weir

Loan players have done well of late with Sunderland, so Brighton midfielder Weir could be another attractive option

Weir managed 10 goals and 5 assists from midfield in a Morecambe side that was relegated. He’s ready for a step up imo Image

🧵Will Randall - #Notts

Here I look at our second signing of the summer, after his free transfer from Sutton United

Here I look at how he could fit into our side, as well as his style as a player

Welcome to Meadow Lane @Will_Randall7 🤝🖤 Image
Randall is a direct wide man, one who looks to cut inside and strike at goal. This clip is a perfect example of what he likes to do

He knows exactly what he’s trying to do. He backs his man up, waits for the angle to open up, and then takes the chance with frightening speed
He also loves to strike from range. We haven’t really had a player who can score from distance since Roberts left (other than Baldwin!)

Again, he cuts inside, slightly further out. His technique is excellent, & what I like that his strikes are often low; makes it harder to save

🧵Sensible Transfers: #WeAreBarrow

League 2 outfit Barrow AFC were highly requested. So here are 5 players they should look at based on YOUR suggestions

Remember to comment your team + 5 positions below! 👇 Image
CB: Jesse Debrah

Pete Wild has been known to raid his former side, and one of the remaining stars from his playoff season is defender Debrah

I believe Debrah is good enough for League 1, so this would represent a real coup. Physical, comfortable on the ball too, a top player Image
CM: Regan Booty

I saw Wild at the England C game, presumably there to watch his former player, the aforementioned Debrah

But another man who impressed that night was Booty. A holding midfielder with a wand of a left foot, this move would allow him to move back North Image
