#BREAKING: Trump was just indicted in connection with his retention of classified material. He is reportedly facing at least 7 counts, including willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to conceal, & false statements & representations. abcnews.go.com/amp/US/donald-…
Trump announced his own indictment on Truth Social. He’s trying to turn this into a partisan matter, saying “the corrupt Biden administration” is to blame and that he’s innocent, but let’s be clear:
This is a national security matter, not partisan politics.
Also: Trump says he thought being popular would protect him from being indicted.

Today is a good day to learn about DARVO, an acronym that “describes the typical response of a guilty person when they’ve been accused of bad behavior.”
It stands for: Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender. It’s also a form of abuse. metro.co.uk/2020/06/13/gui…
DARVO is a response seen among a huge majority of abusers. It’s meant not only to deny their wrongdoing, but also to undermine the credibility of the victim, gain sympathy, take support away from the victim, and continue their abuse without consequences.
Example: DARVO was very much present during the Depp/Heard trial, but unfortunately, the case was turned into a media spectacle because many of those covering it only saw it as an opportunity for monetization and attention.
Yay I love getting DMs calling me gendered slurs and telling me I deserve to be raped because I dared to prove a man wrong on the Internet a year ago and he still can’t get over it. This happens without fail every time he targets me on here.
The fact that anyone still considers him a credible voice on online hate is astonishing. Because one of two things is true: He either understands online hate and thus these he knows his actions will send these mobs my way — or he knows nothing about online hate at all.
One of the DMs directly referenced “Carolyn Bryant,” so it’s not exactly hard to make the connection to Bouzy, who is the only person who has ever used that name in reference to me
Russian propaganda outlets have been heavily promoting RFK Jr. since he announced his presidential candidacy. This raises a red flag regarding Russian interference in US elections, with RT even promoting bitcoin donations to RFK's campaign.
These are just some of the recent articles about RFK Jr. published by Russian state media outlets RT & Sputnik. The volume of coverage increased sharply after he announced his presidential candidacy, which is a pretty big red flag.
Much of RT & Sputnik's coverage has focused on RFK Jr.'s criticisms of Ukraine, NATO, and the US military, as well as his anti-vaccine activism. His public statements are often closely aligned with Russian propaganda narratives, and times, he has given interviews to RT & Sputnik.
This is happening, and it’s meant to silence researchers and kill off an academic field that is largely uninvolved in content moderation and “censorship.” It’s being done to score political points, and it will ultimately benefit actors like Russia & China. washingtonpost.com/technology/202…
For example: I have never been involved in content moderation on any platform in any capacity. I study the psychosocial dynamics of mis/disinformation and influence, and I do research to characterize it and identify it, and to help people develop resilience to it.
But they’re trying to kill off this entire field by claiming we’re all biased, pro-censorship political activists, which if you have ever read anything I’ve written about my opinions on free speech, you would know that I am constantly talking about the dangers of censorship.
Then, YouTube announced that it would be rolling back its election misinformation policies, and will now allow false statements about the 2020 election on its platform. 3/
Additionally, on Monday, Meta reinstated the Instagram account of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist (and now-presidential candidate) who frequently promotes Russian disinformation and harmful myths about vaccine safety. 4/ washingtonpost.com/technology/202…
I think this is probably the start of a bigger trend that will extend to additional platforms and branch out to include more policies & accounts. This was probably the plan all along, but now they can do it quietly while using Twitter as cover for their own decisions. 5/
The claim that RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard were spreading in Twitter Spaces — about the US having biolabs in Ukraine with bioweapons meant to target certain ethnicities — is a very specific disinformation narrative that originated in Russia and echoes decades of Russian propaganda.
These are just a small subset of examples of Russia accusing the US of developing bioweapons to target certain ethnicities. It’s one of the most common Russian disinformation narratives in this area, and now Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. are spreading it.
China has also started echoing Russian disinformation about ethnically-targeted bioweapons. These claims are not without consequences. They’ve been used by Russia as pretext for biological attacks, and they risk undermining crucial research on vaccines & pandemic prevention.
