Trump just consistently tying to get his attorneys to do crimes...
Trump hung on to 31 documents—some generated in office, some as part of the ex-presidents briefings—that contained military and nuclear secrets of other countries, and documents related to US secrets too.
Walt Nauta is so fucked. Named as a co-conspirator on a lot of charges.
While I'm not a criminal lawyer, this indictment seems incredibly damning. Not just the fact of conspiring for months to hide/retain top secret documents about foreign nuclear programs but just the brazen sloppiness and flippancy of it all.
Going to be really interesting to see if/which of those GOPers rushing to his defense yesterday will

2/ It would enormously undercut any climate gains that @GavinNewsom has won. Way more CO2 emissions, way more traffic, way more particulate/sound pollution.
3/ The people MOST impacted will be low-wage workers, who often commute incredibly long distances because CA has not built enough housing: motherjones.com/politics/2023/…
"One issue is whether this is a good use of taxpayer time and money. Peskin said his request to hold the meeting at UN Plaza will cost $4,650: $2,000 for the SF Gov TV equipment, $2,000 for “media services” and $650 for Board of Supervisors tablecloths." sfstandard.com/politics/polit…
$650 for Board of Supervisor tablecloths, I just can't even with this city and it's endless round of performative stunts by the entire swathe of city leaders.
"Peskin said the pomp and circumstance will be worth it if it gets “neighborhoods the relief that has been long in coming.""
Exactly how is this supposed to work @AaronPeskin?
This @frontlinepbs is very very good but I don’t understand why their house account only runs still photos and traditional promo clips instead of just excerpts. For this or any episode!
Like...I went looking for the clips to show you guys how jaw-dropping some of the details in this are and couldn't find them.
This isn't just a Frontline thing, it's a whole PBS thing. You guys have video editors! Use them!
Like Clarence Thomas had a *VERY* fucked up childhood/young adulthood. You can see how he curdled and how somebody else with the exact same experiences would not have.
Going to distract myself from American carnage by noting that the trappings of British royalty are immensely stupid and tacky looking? Like a run-down casino:
Those are just immensely ugly outfits.
With all that fucking money maybe a little bit more actual taste could be purchased?
like you can have braiding or bows or giant necklaces or giant crests or cartoonish palate BUT NOT ALL OF THEM
One of the metrics by which you can measure SF's troubles is how people who have kids move out of the city, due to high housing costs and struggling schools, mainly. We are becoming a city of the very rich and the very poor and this bullshit isn't helping: sfchronicle.com/sf/bayarea/hea…
Without an actual conservative counterweight, SF's Dems/left just increasingly turns on itself in ways that are super unhealthy, alienating to larger voter base, and...just exceedingly weird.
This is a familiar dynamic. Where each faction is endlessly scrapping/positioning for "their" Supes.
Yeah, Connie Chan will probably face opposition. A lot of folks don't like her anti-housing, anti bike and pedestrian votes. If enough are in her district, she could loose. 🤷♀️
