Gemma O'Doherty is continuing her deranged bullying of Edel, suicide-bereaved mother who is suing Gemma.

Her latest attacks and accusations, to me, sound like something authorities should do something about, before this gets any worse.

I'll document it in this thread. /1
This thread is going to be very upsetting and infuriating, in equal measure.

The phrase "lowest of the low" applies to what you're about to read.

Given this tragedy involves death by suicide of a young man, I'd recommend not reading the rest of it if the subject upsets you.
The main reason I'm documenting all of this continued harassment of Edel:

Videos can disappear from the deranged corners of the internet Gemma frequents.

By documenting it, it will be there to show what Gemma is doing to this poor woman.

And to her child, Diego (RIP 🙏)
On Gemma's livestream tonight she also claimed Sandy Hook school shooting, 2017 Manchester Arena bombing and 1998 Omagh bombing were "staged".

In the latter case "staged by An Garda Síochána"

Deeply offensive to the families of victims of these atrocities, whose pain is real.
Gemma is accusing Cavan coroner Dr. Mary Flanagan of "utterly failing to investigate Diego's death".

That's Dr. Mary Flanagan, who was President of the Coroners Society of Ireland in 2020, with a distinguished career.

Looks like defamation, probably.
Gemma has "20 questions" over Diego's death, all of them deeply offensive.

She wants to know why Edel didn't check on him.

That anyone with "maternal instinct" would know a text of "It's ok we'll talk tomorrow, mam" is a giveaway.

This is evil victim-blaming.
Gemma reckons if Edel had been awake after 1am on a Tuesday night, like any good mother, she would have been able to go check on him.

Instead Edel was asleep for work in the morning and thus failed to save her child.

This is deranged bullying.
Gemma is suggesting Edel is a bad mother and to blame for her child's death.

What makes this so evil is any parent bereaved by suicide wishes they could go back in time and stop it from happening.

In some cases, might very well blame themselves.

Hug for any bereaved parent >>>
Gemma is fixated on why Edel called for male assistance from Diego's father, for help in taking him down.

And baffled as to why Edel would even want to take him down and hold him.

I would have thought it was obvious in both instances and any mother would do the same 😢
Gemma suspects Diego may have been "murdered".

It doesn't make sense to her that he was in good form and had ordered a playstation subscription.

Absolutely zero understanding of suicide and zero empathy.

People "in good form" on the outside, can be suffering on the inside 😢
Gemma suggests maybe Diego was a drug dealer and murdered because of that.

Murdered with a rope in his own shed? In his back garden? At 2 in the morning? On a Tuesday night?

Right after texting his mam "I love you"...

Insane and offensive made-up conspiracy theories.
This is out-of-control harassment of a vulnerable mother.

Any of Gemma's 'fans', this question is for you:

Why the fuck are you enabling this?

It's one thing to believe her dumb conspiracies about aliens, 5G, chemtrails, vaccines but bullying a bereaved mother?

Pathetic.
Someone has to be able to help.

Whether it's the guards or an intervention by one of Gemma's trusted friends, if she has any of those.

None of this is acceptable, it's actually sickening what is going on here.

That poor mother doesn't deserve this, it has to stop.
This is the GoFundMe for Edel if anyone would be in a position to help her.

Pathetic racism on far-right Irish Twitter in recent weeks, directed at people originally from India and living in Ireland.

Some of the hatred cites made-up statistics about numbers of visas granted and the Indian-born population.

I've compiled real stats, to counter it. /1 Image
This racist reckons there's 91,000+ Indians living in Ireland and he wants them all booted out.

The only realistic source for that above statistic is "off the top of his head" ❌

According to the CSO there was 56,642 people born in India living in Ireland on census night ✅ ImageImage
This ironic piece of racism here reckons people from India getting student visa in huge numbers.

Brazilian's too, all of them chancers, according to him (his real problem is most of them are not white.)

Is that true? Astronomical number of student visas for Indians?

No. Image

A recent Gript article on excess deaths in Ireland is scarcely believable for how fundamentally wrong it is.

It's no wonder misinformation is rampant because some journalists don't seem to understand CSO reports.

I'll try debunk this misinformation in simplistic language. /1
Firstly, the headline of the article is a misnomer and plain wrong.

"The CSO's Highly Unsatisfactory Excess Death Figures"

CSO's Vital Statistics quarterly reports never give any numbers for excess deaths, they only give numbers of registered deaths. Image
To calculate excess involves a baseline for expected deaths & counting how many deaths *occurred* above/below baseline.

CSO don't do that in quarterly reports or yearly summaries because it counts deaths *registered*.

Excess deaths nothing to do with anything in these reports.

Horrific abuse I received in last 24 hours:

"Traitor", "Monster", "Reta*d", "Fa**ot", "Psychotic racist", "Fine Gael w*nker", "Marxist", "Gombeen", "*Sanctimonious pillock*" (*arguable!).

Tweets calling for me to be executed and DM's telling me to die??

Not ok 🙁 /1 ImageImageImage
I tried to end my life a few times and I'm glad none of that worked out!

Just in case any of you racist bullies are reading this and think it's amusing to tell strangers to kill themselves.

You can't know what someone is going through and they might be more vulnerable than me. Image
People tweeting me these GIFs of nooses and guillotines, wanting me executed for 'treason'.

I wasn't aware it was treason to fact-check misinformation on the internet.

You want me dead for what? 🤷‍♂️

This type of analysis of demographic trends is certainly intuitive and popular.

To me, it's overly simplistic and reductive; population projections can be way off and long-term planning based on them can get thrown in the bin.

Life gets in the way of population projections. /1 Image
It's true the CSO produces very detailed long-term population projections, for a range of assumptions.

They can be way off: population of Ireland in 2021 exceeded CSO's 2001-31 population projection by a huge margin.

Partly due to unforeseen gains in life expectancy.
Projected population of Ireland in year 2021 (2001-based projections):

M1F1: 4,563,200
M1F2: 4,435,500
M1F3: 4,315,200
M2F1: 4,302,300
M2F2: 4,152,300
M2F3: 4,040,200

In 2001, CSO expected 2021 population to be 4,040,200 - 4,563,200 range.

2021 population: 5,011,500 (actual)

This video isn't graphic per se but it's one of those viral videos that gets shared routinely, without any reference to the aftermath.

Although he survived this, you can probably guess this accident was a life-changing event for both him and his wife. /1
José Vergara Acevedo was 31-years-old at the time of the accident on June 6th, 2014.

He was living with his wife in Parque Bustamante Torre B apartments in Santiago, Chile.

As you see in the video, on his way home from the shops and took the elevator from underground car park.
José was a newlywed, having married Carolina Rodriguez in February, 2014, just a few months before the accident.

They weren't from Santiago and decided to move there, with a view to starting a family nearer better schools.

Carolina was out at the time of the accident.

The most interesting elements of this story was the choice of plane and conditions the Mexican government attached to the study.

That the crash test dummies at the rear, had they been humans, likely would have walked away with minor injuries, doesn't tell you much. /1
Mexican government allowed it on condition the Boeing 727 was flown by pilots over populated areas.

This gave flight crew of 6 (3 pilots and 3 support jumpers) only 2 minutes to parachute before impact.

I'd say that was one of the more interesting days at work for the pilots.
The choice of a modified 727 was for same reason D.B. Cooper chose it.

He hijacked a Boeing 727 (Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305) on November 24th, 1971 because he knew the aft stairwell could be lowered in-flight.

Therefore he knew he could parachute with the ransom. Image
