"Park Jimin," Yoongi swallows a deep breath. "Would you like to change your last name?" Image
It's Jimin's final showcase, he's been preparing for months despite Sarang still not sleeping through the night. Yoongi's running the brunch spot & he's got a record deal on the table..he finally convinces Jimin to have a night out...💍

“Sarang, my love..,” Yoongi hears Jimin coo from somewhere in their bedroom. His eyes are still closed, he doesn’t even know what time it is. But he knows he’s happy. His daughter makes a high gurgling sound which makes his boyfriend laugh.
A loud kiss is pressed, probably on her round cheeks. The “mwah” is enough to make Yoongi open his eyes. His heart, as always, swells with love as he stares at the two of them together.

He must stir as he wakes because Jimin turns toward him.
He’d been just in the doorway, swaying Sarang lightly. “Oh my little love, look!” Jimin speaks to her in such high tones that keep a smile on her cute face. “Appa Yoongi is awake.”

Yoongi pushes himself up into a sitting position.
The morning light is just streaming in through the windows. He imagines it can’t be much past 7 or 8 in the morning. Sarang has been waking up later these past few days, finally getting herself into a good sleep schedule. He makes grabby hands for the baby.
Jimin flips her around, back pressed up against his front. Now that she’s six months old, she’s much sturdier than she’s ever been. He loves being able to move her without being afraid of how fragile she is.
Once she sees Yoongi’s face, Sarang breaks into an identical gummy smile. She squeals high and throws herself forward towards his embrace.

Yoongi takes her and immediately she presses her face against his neck, her version of a hug.
Jimin plops down with a heavy and dramatic sigh. “I spend all day with her and yet you’re still her favorite,” he pouts, crossing his arms for good measure.

Yoongi holds her out on his raised knees, tiny hands grasping his thumbs as she sits up.
“Oh that’s not truuue,” he nuzzles his nose into her chest, earning a full giggle. “Sarangie loves us both, don’t you baby girl?”

He leans to the side to give Jimin a morning kiss. Jimin takes the opportunity to lay against his shoulder. “What time is it?” Yoongi asks.
“Just have seven-thirty,” he yawns. “She slept so well again. I hope we don’t break this cycle.” His fingers itch to touch so he reaches out and tickles her little foot. The smile never leaves her face.

“Appas are so proud of you,” Yoongi says to her.
It's been a long road to get to this place. Sarang had never been a great sleeper in the beginning. There were times that Jimin thought he might go crazy with how little she actually slept at night.
It seemed as though any tiny sound, a shift in movement, or even silence in the room would wake her.

~
After three months of constant sleep battles, Yoongi awoke to Jimin sobbing one morning in her nursery. He sat in the rocking chair, swaying forward and back, with fresh tears streaming down his face.

“I don’t kn-know what I’m d-doing wrong!” he cried.
Yoongi rushed forward to sit on the footstool in front of him. He placed a hand on Jimin’s knee and another on Sarang’s head. She was asleep now, but by the way her breath stuttered every few seconds, she’d obviously been crying heavily before.
“You’re doing nothing wrong,” Yoongi said. “Some babies just don’t sleep well.”

Jimin couldn’t listen. “I put her in our room, she cries. I hold her to sleep and she’s absolutely fine. But I can’t sleep in this rocking chair anymore, my back hurts so b-bad.”
Yoongi pouted in sympathy. He knew that Jimin had been in here more nights than not because he was trying to allow Yoongi to sleep. But Yoongi often found himself in the nursery anyway, needing to be close to them both. It was not a great system, he thought.
“Maybe we should talk to her pediatrician,” he suggested.

“When?” Jimin asked, sniffling.

“I’ll call in the morning. We’ll make an appointment and go together.”

“But how? Our schedules are flopped right now. When would we have time?”
Jimin had just started back dancing at the studio a few weeks before. He’d been fully cleared by Dr. Eun and couldn’t wait to finally be able to finish his showcase. He had a long way to go to build his stamina back up and learn how his new body moved.
To accommodate his practicing, Yoongi changed his hours at the brunch spot. He’d go in early in the morning, before 5 to make sure everything was prepared for the day. Then he’d sneak back home around 7, climbing into bed for a few hours.
He usually roused around 8 if he wasn’t able to hear Jimin and Sarang around the house. By 9 or 10 Jimin would head to the dance studio for 3-4 hours at a time. It was just enough time that he didn’t feel too bad being away from their new baby.
When he returned home in the afternoon, Yoongi would then go back to the Brunch place to run the later shift. It worked out with Seokjin because he enjoyed the mornings the most.
It wasn’t a perfect system, Yoongi felt bad for missing dinner and sometimes not getting home until well after Sarang was supposed to be down for the night. But he wanted Jimin to fulfill his dream.

“I’ll take some time off.
You just let me handle calling, hm?” He rubbed Jimin’s knee with his thumb. “Why don’t you give her to me? Go get some sleep for a few hours in our bed. I’ll stay in here.”

Jimin hesitated. He’d just gotten her back to sleep after fussing for an hour straight.
It had been a game of back and forth and he tried and failed to transfer her to her crib. “No it’s okay–”

“Jimin,” Yoongi’s tone got firm. “You’re upset and overwhelmed. We talked about this, please let me help.”

His boyfriend sighed.
They had had this discussion before, about Jimin needing to remember that he wasn’t the only one who had to care for their baby. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Yoongi, he did, completely. He just felt a dedication to the tiny human that came from him.
“Just sleep in our bed,” Yoongi said, putting his hands underneath Sarang to lift her softly. “I’ll call the pediatrician in the morning. I’ll take tomorrow off and we can take ehr in after you leave the studio.” He swayed so he didn’t wake the baby.
Jimin stood and kissed her head. “You did this, you know,” he joked. “That day you let her fall asleep on your chest,” he shook his head.

Yoongi laughed quietly. “I did not!” He defended himself.

Jimin pecked his cheek before leaving the room.
All was well the following day at the pediatrician. Sarang’s doctor, Dr. Yeon swore that they were doing things right. “She’s just at the point where you need to establish routines. Stick to her wake windows and give her cues for bedtime. She’ll follow suit in no time.”
So they did. Yoongi adjusted his hours again at the brunch spot to be able to help with bedtime. He made sure to be home by 8 every night to help with bath, book, and bottle. It wasn’t perfect at first.
Sarang still resisted her bed, but with the help of some tricks from Dr. Yeon they were able to teach her to soothe herself to sleep. Her thirty minute sleep times stretched to 3-4 hours at a time.
By six months, she awoke once at night for nursing and was back down until the morning.

~

Yoongi notices that today Sarang is wearing her “Appas best girl” onesie Yoongi bought Jimin for Valentine’s day months and months ago.
There were so many moments over the past year that reminded Jimin how loved he was, but Valentine’s day was definitely one of them.

Jimin tickles Sarang’s toes and kisses her face. “I’m going to miss you today, my girl.”
Yoongi loves them both more than he could ever imagine having love in his heart for. Sarang makes a gurgling noise in response to Jimin, happy and beaming up at her Appa. Yoongi's heart clenches.

The ring box is still in the closet.
He thinks it’s finally time to ask the question.

After a little while of laying in bed together as a family, one of Yoongi’s favorite activities, Sarang fusses for breakfast. He takes her to the kitchen to give her some baby food while Jimin gets himself ready for the day.
“How long are you dancing?” Yoongi asks when Jimin comes back a bit later. Sarang has been fed and is laying on the floor on her belly, preoccupied with an octopus stuffed toy that was given to her by Jungkook and Taehyung.
“I was thinking maybe five hours if that’s okay?” Jimin asks, sipping his iced coffee. “I just really want to make sure everything is sharp for Saturday.”

Yoongi nods. “Of course. Take as much time as you need.
Yeojun and Soobin have gotten good about running things without me by now,” he mentions his two best employees. “I’m excited for Saturday.”

Jimin takes a deep breath and wraps himself around Yoongi, face in his shoulder. “I’m terrified.”
After working for almost 4 months straight, the time has finally come for Jimin’s final showcase. It will mark the end of his educational career as a dancer. He still hasn’t quite figured out what he’ll do after.
He’d slowed down on only teaching two classes per week after Sarang was born so he’d have the most time with her and used the other hours he wasn’t with her to practice.
Yoongi presses a chaste kiss to the side of Jimin’s head before allowing his hands to travel down his back in slow motion. He cups his ass tightly then murmurs in his ear. “You’ll be perfect.”

Jimin laughs, leaning his butt into his hands.
“You always know how to make my worries go away.”

Jimin leaves just as it’s time for Sarang’s morning nap. Yoongi changes her, turns on a sound machine and gives her a kiss before putting her in bed with a paci. “Sleep well, darling girl,” he closes the door softly.
He spends a bit of time cleaning up the house. He and Jimin have gotten good about taking turns to keep things mostly organized. With Sarang just starting to roll both ways, she’s becoming busier.
It’s a challenge to keep things off of the floor as anything she finds she believes is for her mouth.

Namjoon texts after a bit, asking to come over. He and Yoongi haven’t gotten together a bunch recently.
He feels badly about it, so even though he’d love to nap while Sarang is napping too, he obliges.

Namjoon comes in, happy as a golden retriever as always. He’s carrying a new stack of books for Sarang like usual.
“I ordered these ones for the library and just double ordered for her,” he says, placing the stack on the floor near her toy area. “One of them has like these um, feeling pages?”

“Sensory pages,” Yoongi says. He pats the spot next to him on the couch.
“She’ll love them, thanks Joon-ah.”

Yoongi hands him a cup of coffee with a heavy sigh. Namjoon turns to him, eyes soft and poised. “Is Jimin ready for Saturday?”

Yoongi nods, pursing his lips. “Yeah, of course. He’s amazing, he always has been. He’s just nervous.
I keep trying to tell him that everything will be fine.”

“Hoseok is like that too,” Namjoon says, which makes Yoongi smile. “He gets nervous every time he has to go into court. But I try to reassure him that he was made to be a good lawyer.”
It’s been a long road for the two of them, skating around each other with feelings they couldn’t explain. He’s happy to hear they’re still doing well.

“I hope he’s doing well. I’m excited to see everyone all together on Saturday, it’s been a while.”
After Sarang was born the tiny family sort of slipped into themselves, soaking up all of the time they could. In the early days Jimin would get too overwhelmed with everyone around her. Yoongi explained that it was probably just his instincts.
They held off on full group visits for a while and just stuck to one or two people over time.

He’s gotten better as Sarang has grown older, but he still mostly prefers to be home with just her and Yoongi.
“His family will be in town too,” Yoongi fiddles with the stem of his coffee cup. He looks up at Namjoon and sticks his hand in his pocket, pulling out a small black box. “I think it’s probably the right time for this.”

“Are you ready for this for sure?” Namjoon asks.
It’s not accusatory or even doubtful at all, but he knows it’s a big step for him.

Yoongi looks down at the box in his hand. The velvet is soft, like Jimin. He opens the case. The diamond shines, like Jimin.

He looks back up at Namjoon with a smile his friend has never seen.
“I’ve waited my life for him.”

Namjoon grins and claps him on his back. “I’m so happy for you, Hyung. This is the kind of life you deserve. A happy family, a beautiful baby, the restaurant with Jin-hyung, and your music stuff is finally taking off too, right?”
He pulls on his ear, feeling shy to hear all of his accomplishments. “Yeah, I’m supposed to hear back from the record company sometime next week I think.”

Yoongi in his free time, which hadn’t been much of course, had begun making more of his own music.
He was switching over from DJing to songwriting and producing. He’d always dabbled in it, but it was more of a hobby than anything else. He had a small studio that he started renting and it was there he’d meet another producer.
He was able to put him in contact with some people who could make life-changing moves for him.

“Wow, hyung,” Namjoon smiles, eyes squinting tightly behind his glasses. “Look at us now, all grown up.”
He’d recently accepted a librarian position at a spot not too far from the law office Hoseok worked at, it was the perfect opportunity for them to catch a few moments together while Hoseok was incredibly busy.

Sarang’s fussing stops them both in conversation after a while.
Yoongi jumps up from the couch, body excited. He loves when she wakes up from her nap because the moment he enters—

Sarang smiles up at him brightly from her bed, happy to see her Appa has come to get her.
“My gorgeous Sarangi girl,” he nuzzles her as he lifts her out of the crib.

Once she’s changed and a bottle is warmed for her, he sits back on the couch with Namjoon. He fawns over the baby, commenting on how cute her toes and cheeks are.
He’s always enamored each time he sees the best tiny version of his best friends.

“So, Namjoon-ah, I was wondering…,” Yoongi begins as he burps Sarang over his shoulder.

“Hyung..” Namjoon responds, hesitant because Yoongi’s got that mischievous questioning look on his face.
"Just take her for one night, please?" he feels bad even asking. Sarang hasn’t ever been watched by anyone but his mom and Jae for an hour at a time. But he knows they need just a quick night away. He turns the baby towards his friend so she can show her gums as coercion.
“Are you sure you wouldn’t want someone else to watch her?” Namjoon feels both honored and terrified.

Yoongi shakes his head and passes the baby over so she can cuddle Namjoon like he knows she will. She’s always been a baby who gives everyone love the second she touches them.
As she settles in his lap, she does just that. Her little nose presses in his chest and she grips his shirt tight with her tiny fists, hugging him in the only way she can.

Namjoon melts. “Oh god,” he pouts, eyes wide. “Yeah, yeah okay of course. Let’s just call Hoseok and ask.”
“Great,” Yoongi beams in defeat. He’d have to remember to thank Sarang later for being so damn cute. “This proposal on Sunday will be everything, Namjoon, thank you so much.”

~

Jimin comes home in the afternoon exhausted from head to toe.
He tosses his bag on the floor and drags his body towards the living room where he hears a low buzz of noise.

Sunlight is pouring in on the hardwood floors, but it’s not the three o’clock shine that puts the smile on his face.
It’s Sarang staring up at Yoongi with stars and love in her eyes as he blows raspberries repeatedly on her belly. Her shrill giggle fills the warm living room with sound and Jimin feels like he’s the luckiest person in the world.
“My Sarangggg,” Jimin sings from the edge of the rug they put in so Sarang would have something soft to lay on once she started moving around. The baby’s head turns quickly to the side and her little feet kick wildly, a sign of her happiness.
“See,” Yoongi says, lifting her to pass over to Jimin. “I told you she loves you.”

She giggles when Jimin kisses the rolls inside her neck then searches for milk immediately, now that he’s home.
“Do I have time to feed her then shower before you leave?” Jimin asks, settling in one of their living room chairs.

Yoongi nods as he cleans up Sarang’s toys from the floor.
“She’s about ready for another nap, so how about you feed her and I put her down for her nap while you shower.”

Jimin caresses her hair and sticks his nose at the top of her head, sniffing in his favorite baby smell.
“What did you do while I was away?” he looks up at Yoongi with a soft smile.

Yoongi comes and kisses him, because their moments together have been so few and far between, other than sleeping in the same bed at night.
He’s been missing Jimin so much recently, but would never tell him because he’d feel bad. But that itch, the thread of their soulbond has been tested lately as they’ve been away from each other more often.

“Not much. Namjoon stopped by for a little while,” he reveals.
“It was nice to see him.”

Jimin grins. “Oh! That’s so nice. I miss them all. Did he say whether they will be able to come on Saturday? I want to make sure that everyone gets spots together. I’m going to bring tickets home tomorrow.”
Yoongi runs his fingers through Jimin’s silky hair then rubs the back of his finger over Sarang’s full cheek as she drinks. Her eyes are already droopy as she gets full before a much needed nap. “Yes, he and Hoseok will be there. They’re very excited.”
Jimin yawns wide and full as he unlatches their baby and pats her back. “Why don’t you take a nap too, hm?” Yoongi suggests. His fingers are back in his hair. “You’ve been working so hard lately.”

Jimin passes Sarang to him. “Maybe I will, after a shower.”
Yoongi fakes a wrinkled nose and kisses him again when he stands. “Good, you stink.”

Jimin gasps, swatting him playfully and pouts at Sarang who is basically asleep. “Your Appa Yoongi is so mean to me,” he whines.

Yoongi just kisses his cheek, earning a full smile.
He walks their baby to her nursery, heart filled with so much love.

The following afternoon when he returns from practice Jimin is joined at home by Jungkook. His friend has been incredibly busy lately, keeping up with his boxing full time now that he’s graduated.
He’s supposed to leave in the next few weeks for a boxing tour just after Taehyung’s birthday. Jimin has been trying to get in time with the two of them before they go away for a few months.

Jungkook is nuzzling Sarang happily while Jimin makes them all a snack in the kitchen.
“God, she’s so cute,” Jungkook still often gets tears in his eyes about his best friends’ baby. “Don’t you just want one million?”

Jimin laughs loudly. “Yoongi hyung is insane. He’s ready for another, but I don’t want to get pregnant again anytime soon.”
Jungkook freezes, but Jimin’s still in the other room so he doesn’t notice. "Did you hear me, Jungkook-ah?" Jimin asks from the kitchen.
"I said Yoongi is insane, he's already ready for me to get pregnant again because he thinks Sarangie is growing too fast, she's barely six months old!"

He’s returning with a snack to see Sarang on the floor with her toys where she’d previously been in Jungkook’s lap.
He’s standing and gathering his keys. "I've got to go," he's already to the door when Jimin's even registered that he's leaving.

"JK, is everything okay?" Jimin asks, wiping his hands on a towel, prepared to pick up his baby.
Jungkook just leaves with the shake of his head without another word.

Jimin furrows his brow, but doesn’t chase after him.

The next few days are a whirlwind of busy. Yoongi spends every second he can planning their proposal down to every miniscule detail.
By Saturday morning he still hasn't told Jimin about their date the following night.

Jimin is a flurry of anxiety. He’s bustling around the house like a tornado, unable to sit still from the nerves coursing through him.
“Jimin-ah,” Yoongi bounces Sarang as he stands in their bedroom, watching Jimin re-pack his dance bag for the third time. “Here, take our baby.”
He watches his shoulders slope down, face elongate, and a smile cast over his mouth and he physically relaxes with Sarang in his arms. She goes for his nose with her tiny, chubby fingers, which makes Jimin laugh. “Thank you,” he murmurs to Yoongi.

Yoongi smiles.
“It’s natural to be nervous, but I know you’ll do well.”

Jimin’s been practicing for months, and yet Yoongi has never seen his fully choreographed dance. There have been a few steps that Jimin has done around the house, but Yoongi will be as surprised as the audience.
“I meant to say, there’s a part that I need Sarangie for,” Jimin nuzzles the baby. “It’s right at the end. Will you bring her to Mina once you hear the final song?”

“Oh?” Yoongi’s heart thumps. “Of course, yes.”

“She’s got a new outfit to wear for tonight too.
I put it on top of her changing table. Don’t change her into it until the very last moment, though. I don’t want you to get dirty, hm?” he coos to the baby, kissing her cheeks which makes her giggle high.
Jimin’s dads and brother arrive after a while, followed by Yoongi’s mom and brother. There’s only been one other time their families have been together like this, just after Sarang’s birth. Their once tiny apartment is packed with love, love, love.
Jimin leaves early for the showcase, promising to see everyone later on. It’s as soon as Yoongi sees his car pull away that he turns back to their families.

“I’d like to ask Jimin to marry me tomorrow,” he announces.

His brother claps him on the back.
His mother’s face beams with joy. Jimin’s fathers are overjoyed giving their blessing over and over.

“It’s about damn time!” Hyun says loudly, bringing a chorus of laughs over the household.

“Why not tonight?” his mother asks.
“Wouldn’t it be incredibly special with everyone around?”

Yoongi had thought about this too, but ultimately decided against it. “This is Jimin’s big night. I don’t want him to feel pressured to say yes just because everyone is around.
I think I’d like to just do this one moment the two of us.”

Jimin’s Appa Junso hugs Yoongi tightly. “I can’t wait for our families to be officially one forever. You’ve made our son so happy, Yoongi. He’ll say yes, don’t fret about it.”
Everyone has gathered together for Jimin’s final showcase. It’s a part of this year’s Winter Recital. Yoongi thinks back to last year, Jimin was beautiful and elegant with Sarang nestled inside of him. He’d worked hard then and he’s worked hard this year too.
Now, Sarang is being bounced in Seokjin’s lap as he plays with her to keep her happy between intermissions. Jimin is up next.

The entire front row of the venue hall is filled with all of his friends and family.
Taehyung and Jungkook are practically at the edge of their seats, excited to support their friend.

The lights dim as Jimin’s part begins. Seokjin flips Sarang so that she can face the stage.
She’s still too little to know what’s going on, but is excited by the changing colors on the stage as Jimin’s graphics begin.

Yoongi gasps as he sees his daughter’s face, illuminated for the entire crowd to see. Jimin has made his showcase all about Sarang.
The music ebbs and flows as he dances around the stage, limbs elongated and fluid. It’s a story of a kind of love that only Yoongi can understand. The greatest love of his life, their daughter.
The pictures change rapidly, telling a story of Sarang and Jimin’s life behind him as he moves about the stage. Yoongi makes small appearances too, as does the rest of their friends and family, but the story is highly focused on her.
Yoongi hears the cue that Jimin mentioned so he plucks Sarang from Seokjin and bustles backstage for her grand reveal. Mina takes the baby happily, slipping a tutu over her. “I’ve got her, go watch from the crowd, I swear you don’t want to miss it.”
Yoongi has tears streaming down his face. Jimin has brought Sarang fully to life on the stage. He’s twirling about with her, doing lifts and dips. Her wild giggles can be heard over the soft music. The entire crowd is enamored by the two of them.
The end slowly, Jimin dropping to the ground gracefully, holding the baby close to his chest. The lights paint them as silhouettes, two beautiful beings become one. Like her name, Sarang is love.
The crowd explodes in applause and cheers. Jimin is beaming from the stage, still holding Sarang against him. Yoongi swipes the tears off of his face, clapping as loud as he can. Next to him, Jungkook sobs, smiling at his best friend and his beautiful family. Taehyung and Hoseok
tease him, but they’ve got stars in their eyes too.

Yoongi doesn’t stop kissing him when he steps off stage. He pushes a bouquet into his hands and hugs him and Sarang at the same time. “I love you so much, god, Jimin, I love you so fucking much, you know?”
Jimin giggles and gasps. “Hyung!” he teases. “Watch your mouth.” But he kisses Yoongi back and allows him and his baby to be held. He thinks this might be what peak happiness feels like.
They celebrate with a huge private dinner at the Brunch place. Sarang is exhausted after her stage debut so she snoozes calmly in her stroller while Jimin and Yoongi spend time with their family.

The place is alight with joy and love.
“Jimin-ah,” Yoongi whispers to him as they’re winding down, plates taken away and soft music coming out of the restaurant’s speakers. “I want to take you out tomorrow night.”

“Oh?” Jimin perks up. “Like a dinner with Sarang and I?”
Yoongi laughs. “No, jagiya. Just me and you. We need a night just the two of us, don’t you think? We haven’t had any...um...moments together since vacation before Sarang was born.”
Jimin’s cheeks flush. He remembers the place by the beach, being pressed into the counter as Yoongi was behind him. “Oh…,” he says again, catching on.
“I’ve rented us a room in a hotel, just for the night. Namjoon and Hoseok will watch the baby,” he circles Jimin close and murmurs in his ear. “I just wanna be alone with you.”

Jimin almost purrs in front of their whole family.
Surprisingly, Yoongi is the one who won’t stop cradling their baby all day. At every chance he gets on Sunday he picks her up, holding her close. “I’m just going to miss her so much,” he whines once she goes down for her final nap. Hoseok and Namjoon are set to arrive in a bit.
Jimin giggles. “It’s one night, love. It was your idea!"
Yoongi huffs. “I know…but,” he shakes his head. “You’re right. It’s one night,” he kisses the side of Jimin’s head and pinches his butt. “And I’m so excited to be alone with you.”
Their friends arrive just after Sarang wakes up. Yoongi thinks they’re going to be a little late. They have a reservation at the hotel diner and they still each need to get ready after they check in. “Thank you guys so much,” Jimin says, kissing her cheek.
“Appas love you so much, okay? Be such a good girl.”

Yoongi holds the baby tight, not wanting to let her go. “Yoonie…” Jimin whines.
He sighs. “I love you, my favorite girl.” Yoongi passes her over to Hoseok and she's giving him a gummy smile that mirrors her father's. "You guys are the best. She's an amazing baby, call if you need anything, but please don't need anything!" He's out the door in a flash.
He holds Jimin’s hand the whole way to the hotel. It’s not too far from the house, in case something were to go wrong, but they feel giddy to be out alone.

“Wow,” Jimin beams at the view from their balcony. “This is lovely, Yoongi.”
They’ve got the bright sight of the Han river before them. In a few hours when the sun goes down the whole skyline will be illuminated from their window.
Jimin kisses him full and long on the mouth. He gives a tiny moan in the back of his throat as Yoongi pulls him tight against him. He feels like he hasn’t been kissed like this in ages.

“J-Jimin,” he whispers huskily into his mouth. “We have to go to dinner.”
Jimin pouts as he’s pulled away, held at a loving arms length. “But I want you,” his eyes go wide.

Yoongi groans, adjusting himself and biting his bottom lip. He’s always been so sensitive to Jimin’s needs. “After dinner, I swear it. Please, go get ready, we’ll be late.”
Jimin gives a bratty huff, which earns him a smack on his ass, and yelps happily as he is pushed into the bathroom.

Yoongi triple checks that the ring is in his pocket four times as they head down to the diner for their meal.
He still hasn’t quite planned at the second that he’ll ask. At the beginning of the meal it would feel anticlimactic. Right in the middle might stop them from eating and this entire place is…expensive. He settles on the end, right before their dessert will come out.
The hostess greets them warmly, asking for the name under their reservation. “Min,” Yoongi announces.

Jimin gives a small frown. Yoongi has noticed that over the last few months anytime he gives his own or Sarang’s last name, Jimin’s spirit deflates a little.
After tonight Yoongi hopes that won’t happen any longer.
“Oh…” the hostess gives a grimace. “I am just so incredibly sorry. There was a double booking for tonight. Your table isn’t quite ready, are you okay to sit at the bar for just a bit while we arrange things?”
Yoongi’s anxiety spikes. If they have to wait any longer to get through dinner he might burst out of his skin. But Jimin runs a hand down his back and gives the hostess his most polite smile. “Of course, that’s fine.”
“Please give them a drink on the house,” she says. “I promise your table will be available soon.”

Their whiskey is poured and even though they both promised not to talk about their baby the entire time, the conversation doesn’t stop floating towards Sarang.
“I think she’s going to pop a tooth soon,” Jimin says proudly. “Has she been doing that thing with you where she tries to get up on her knees?”

Yoongi smiles. “Yes, I swear she thinks she’s old enough to crawl already.”
“I wish she would stay this little forever, I love the baby stage.”

Yoongi holds his hand. “We can always have more?” he suggests.

Jimin giggles. “Hyunggg, not yet, maybe in a few years.”
He brings his knuckles up to kiss. “Whenever you want, my love. But just know I’d have one million babies with you.”

“One million?” Jimin laughs again. “I don’t think our apartment can fit that many.”

“We’ll move.”

“Financially? That’s insane.”
“Well...I got the record deal on Friday,” Yoongi confesses.

Jimin gasps, hitting his arm. “Yoongi!” he kisses him. “Oh my god, why didn’t you tell me?”

Yoongi smiles shyly and shrugs. “It was your big weekend. You deserved everything to be about you.”
Jimin sighs. Never in his life did he think he’d find someone so selfless, so kind, so humble to call his own. His soul thrums. “This is incredible, please, please tell me everything.”
Their table is ready and to keep his nerves at bay, Yoongi talks through the entire dinner. Jimin can’t help but notice that something is making his boyfriend fidgety. He wonders if he’s missing their baby.

“We can call Hoseok and Namjoon when we get back upstairs,” he says.
“Just to check on her, okay?”

Yoongi’s eyes go wide in question. He wasn’t even listening. “Oh?” He clears his throat and pinches his neck, one of the nervous habits that Jimin finds most endearing. “Sure, yes.”
The waitress comes over to ask if they want dessert and Yoongi orders before Jimin can say he’s too stuffed for another thing. The dinner itself was incredible and he’s feeling a bit tipsy from the drinks that Yoongi won’t stop ordering.

She goes away with a smile and a nod.
Jimin is just about to take a drink from his glass as Yoongi stands up. “Hyung?”

Yoongi takes a deep breath, attempting to center himself. “Jimin,” he drops down on one knee and Jimin gaps. “I love you,” he begins.

Jimin blinks back tears immediately, Yoongi takes his hand.
“I didn’t know,” he clears his throat, trying to keep the shaking out of his voice. “That I could love someone the way I love you, and Sarang,” he adds, “but it’s a love that fills my whole life. I’ve never been happier than when I’m with you. I’m just wondering…”
Yoongi reaches inside of his pocket to reveal a small velvet box.

Jimin sobs through a smile as it’s opened and a small, dainty diamond sparkles up at him. “Y-Yoongi,” he covers his mouth.

“Park Jimin," Yoongi swallows a deep breath. "Would you like to change your last name?"
Jimin nods furiously, attempting to blink his tears away.

“My soul is bound to yours already, but what about forever…hm? My Jiminie, my love,” Yoongi holds back his own tears, “my darling, will you marry me?”
“How do I say yes in every language?” Jimin laughs through his tears. “Yes, yes of course I will!”

Yoongi gives the biggest relieved sigh. He takes the ring out of its box and slips it on Jimin’s finger. It’s a perfect fit. He then pulls him into his embrace, kissing him hard.
The diner erupts in cheers and applause. Jimin hides in Yoongi’s neck, shy and happier than ever.

“You’re almost in the resident Min cutie club,” Yoongi kisses him again. “I’m so excited to spend forever with our little family, my tiny dancer.”

Yoongi’s looking for the sign he needs to ask his roommate out on a date. It’s been a year since he’s been harboring the devastating crush. Jimin is cool, calm, hot. Yoongi is, a mess. Finally, his hourly horoscope pushes him in the right direction. ImageImage
“Jimin-ah,” Yoongi whispers into the darkness of their shared dorm. It’s just after 1:30 in the morning. Jimin came home an hour ago from the library, an English final kept him there late.

Yoongi knows he’s not sleeping yet by the way his toes fidget under the covers.
“Hmm?” Jimin asks, voice low and sleepy. He may not be out but he’s close.

Yoongi’s heart pounds painfully underneath his skin. Is he really going to ask him now? What if Jimin says no? What if it makes everything weird between them. He takes a deep breath. “I was wondering—”

“When you find that person I swear it’ll click. You’ll just look at them one day,” he gives a giggle that hurts Yoongi’s heart. “And you’ll think, oh! I was looking for someone like you.’”
The sunrise is coming in over Jimin’s head, the golden light hitting his cheeks just right. Yoongi inhales a deep breath of the salty air.
Hoseok makes a low rumbling sound of awe on the line. “Wowww. Our Jiminie is getting wiser with age, everyone.”

Can’t stop thinking about a spicy Yoonmin au where jm goes on suchwita and they’re watching the smf music video. Immediately, yg’s ears go red.

“Cut the cameras,” he commands. The staff are confused. He turns to his guest. “We need to speak in my dressing room. Right now.”
Jm follows him back, heart pounding. Is he upset that he made a song inspired by something from the rapper’s mixtape? Was he not animated enough for the audience? He’d studied his member’s show to be the best guest possible.
Jm steps in and yg slams the door behind him. Jm’s worried until yg turns around, a fire in his eyes. “On the couch, bend over it now.”

Jm smirks. “Oh?” He bats his eyes. “Did you like what you saw?”

Yg shoves him, not roughly, but enough to get jm moving.

For someone like you I wonder if it might be important for me to explain the different between being in a relationship, being in love, and being physically intimate with each other. Because very seriously, this actually is not a lovey dovey story yet. Yoonmin are very bad at +
feelings. So for a while, feelings aren’t going to drive what they do. What I mean is, just bc yg confessed he likes jm doesn’t mean they’re together now, liking someone is way different than loving them and even WAY different than being IN love with them. If they sleep together
It absolutely doesn’t mean they’re in love. It doesn’t mean they’re suddenly dating bc adults don’t necessarily date and love everyone they sleep with. I hope I’m abale to convey this through my writing, and not everyone will see this thread but I just really don’t want people
