Thread on #PakistanWasMovingForward under PTI, but PDM Govt has ruined the economy! Comparison of key economic indicators in last two years, based on Economic Survey 2023:
1) PMLN trying to claim that the regime change was initiative of Shahbaz Group & not Nawaz/Maryam Group; e.g. Mansoor tried really hard to blame Shahbaz without mentioning Maryam. It's failing cuz #ThisIsNot90s 1/n
2) They are trying the foreign funding case (which is actually prohibited funding case) for the 56th time since 2014. They will fail again cuz there is NOT ONE donor of PTI who has ever questioned funding for party, it's all coming from political opponents. 2/n
3) Narrative that Nawaz Sharif can come save their party is also being surfaced. He was the one who finalized & blessed the regime change operation that made lives miserable for common Pakistanis due to inflation. He will be ridiculed even more if he comes. 3/n #نیچے_اترو_مسند_سے
Open letter to #SupremeCourt on the current situation in Pakistan (Thread)
Honorable Supreme Court,
I may not have the required academic credentials or verified blue tick to count as pressure group, but I write to you as a Pakistani who cares about the country & our dignity 1/n
The case that you are hearing will decide the self esteem of each and everyone in Pakistan including yours and our collectively dignity as a Nation. On one side, there are common citizens of Pakistan who (arguably) haven't been this united politically ever for a cause 2/n
They are united because they finally felt a connection and ownership of Pakistan, because a leader stood up for them & said "Dosti Sab se, Ghulami kisi ki nahi". It might be a mere phrase but it gives Goosebumps to a common Pakistanis who had waited for this day for decades 3/n
3) Maryam back tracking and being open to discussion with Army (again on BBC interview), even the people who got fooled by revolution, understood that Maryam is wrong number
4) Work from home (woh bhi abroad wala home) revolution of Nawaz Sharif rejected
Got served the “Tabdeeli” that I volunteered for & it feels amazing. Sharing my experience on @pid_govt ‘s initiative of bringing home stranded Pakistanis. Hats off to all leading Covid-19 initiatives especially @Asad_Umar@sayedzbukhari@YusufMoeed@zfrmrza@mophrd (see thread)
First a little background - been wanting to come to Pakistan since March 20 as family was here , but couldn’t reunite due to travel bans. Was extremely depressed for the last two weeks, then heard about these limited PIA flights - booked right away & came to Islamabad via Toronto
Social distancing was practiced on PIA flight, masks were required and all staff followed safety procedures. Upon arrival, we all had to register for the Covid-19 tests.
