I wish to table a petition on behalf of the Siany residents of Misambi Sub-location in Nyamira County concerning the destruction of Siany Wetland. ~ Speaker, @HonAmasonKingi #BungeLiveSEN. 
That Siany land is a community land situated in Misambi Sub-Location, Nyamira County. It is registered as a common grazing area under the Gusii County Council and is a major water catchment area in the region. ~ Speaker, @HonAmasonKingi #BungeLiveSEN.
The petitioner therefore prays that the Senate stop the destruction of the wetland and ensure that the ecosystem is conserved and preserved for future generation. ~ Speaker, @HonAmasonKingi #BungeLiveSEN.
Protect the wetlands from being sub-divided by the National Lands Commission and the County Government of Nyamira to clear and correct boundaries beacons put in place. ~ Speaker, @HonAmasonKingi #BungeLiveSEN.
Direct NEMA to work with the community to restore the wetland and springs emanating from it to the original status through the environmentally friendly activities. ~ Speaker, @HonAmasonKingi #BungeLiveSEN.
