Beginning with the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes (Amendment) Bill 2024, which has been temporarily halted following a petition challenging its constitutionality.

From the 1st reading to the Presidential assent on 15th Oct, 2025, the Bill took a total of 10 months and 20 days.

Did public participation take place? YES. The National Assembly's Committee on Communication, Innovation and Information advertised the call for public views on local dailies on 18th Feb 2025, giving Kenyans 15 days to make submissions.
