Mitochondrial dysfunctions cause telomere attrition, while telomere damage leads to the reprogramming of mitochondrial biosynthesis and mitochondrial dysfunctions, which have important implications in aging and diseases.

Mitochondrial & telomere are mostly studied independently. However, SARS Let'er R.I.P. has made clear that there are intimate links between mitochondria, telomeres, and telomerase subunits. There's an erratic looping mechanism when one of these goes wrong.

We know senescent cells contribute to body dysfunction (ageing). We know telomere shortening is a recognized cause of cellular senescence. Several conditions associated with normal ageing are precipitated by accelerated telomere dysfunction.

When you are reading papers or studies about cancer, inflammation, cellular senescence, stem cell exhaustion, mitochondrial dysfunction, genomic instability, telomere dysfunction and cellular aging - it is important to look for references AFTER 2009. Image
Prior to 2009, the dominant theory was free radicals coming from mitochondria processing of oxygen (ROS) created a feedforward loop linking telomere dysfunction, mitochondrial dysfunction and more oxidative stress pathways, resulting in ageing. Not all theories are right. Image
That theory only partially explains the age-related increase in the inflammatory response seen in the aged population. It doesn't explain the cooperation between cell-intrinsic telomere dysfunction-driven molecular pathways and the microbiome in driving the inflammatory response. Image
These competing theories are, both right.
After 2009 we were able to understand how both theories are "symptoms" of another process involved in telomere shortening where we still don't have a complete understanding of the causation of the feedback loop.

After 2009, we understood how human chromosomes can be copied in a complete way during cell divisions while they are protected against degradation using Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD).

We solved a major problem in biology: the cure against aging is found in the ends of the chromosomes – the telomeres – and in an enzyme that forms them – telomerase. The process of detecting aberrant transcripts occurs during the translation of the mRNA.

That discovery of such a fundamental mechanism in the cell has stimulated the development of gut biome therapeutic strategies but it's also enabled us to characterize the causation of certain metabolic diseases.

We know telomere shortening is occurring during SARS infections. SARS is accelerating ageing.
Accelerated aging ends in premature death.

Do you remember when we warned you mPox + SARS co-infections are capable of genetic recombination? Orthopox viruses are unique DNA viruses that replicate in the cytoplasm - where SARS has already hijacked host ribosomes. 1/
#mPox #BoxOfNails
As we have been warning for 21 years, the real threat of SARS is every single other virus that we have previously minimized and declared endemic. 2/
How can genetic recombination between SARS+mPox give mPox the human immune evasion potential of SARS?

HIV infection is required to suppress the immune system.

Why is China screening for mPox at international airports?
Because when @WHO declared mPox a PHEIC that's how nations are supposed to act according to IHR (2005).
The real question you want to ask is - why isn't your nation announcing screening for mPox?!?
Your nation has a legal obligation under their agreement to the IHR (2005) to temporarily inconvenience a few international travellers for the health and safety of the many millions in your nation.
The needs of the many, outweigh the few!
Simple screening of international travellers,
SCREENING MEANS BORDERS CAN STAY OPEN!
Quarantine is the isolation of the sick, not the healthy.

Two reasons why inactivated #BirdFlu #H5N1 HPAI viral RNA in retail samples of milk is a serious concern:
1/
The #H5N1 RNA wouldn't cause an infection but someone drinking contaminated milk who's already suffering from another influenza infection (#H3N2 or #H1N1) is a potential mixing vessel needed for human-to-human #BirdFlu transmission.
2/
What negligence of care for American lives and clusterduckery is necessary within the USDA not to test the milk before pasteurization?!? Detection of #H5N1 RNA on the shelves of stores points to incompetence of the @USDA to keep the food supply safe.

Allow me to translate this tweet into plain English (Common Muggle) so even Left or Right wing Americans can understand the complex @WHO language:

🧵
The IHR (2005) are legally binding Public Health guidance where @DrTedros can declare a PHEIC. PHEIC enables "surveillance" measures, like:
- Testing & Tracing for mPox
- reporting mPox cases
- providing free treatment
What Americans refer to as "Global Totalitarian Control"Image
Why did the IHR fail in 2020?
The IHR are basic and simple to apply at international airports, but all the little bits depend on one critical factor: EVERY NATION MUST COMPLY.
When Dr. Tedros declared a PHEIC over SARS on January 31, 2020 - the orange man-boy got very upset someone was telling America what to do with their airports and told Dr. Tedros to go fly a kite. America had just spent a year denying Boeing planes were dangerous and finally grounded them so the last thing POTUS45 wanted to do was put a dent into the billions of profits for airline companies. Now you understand why the IHR (2005) failed to end the spread of SARS early in the pandemic.

HIV and SARS share ribosome frameshift abilities: this paper posted by Mr. Dugger discusses how SARS-CoV controls human protein synthesis, affecting translation and directly impacting ribosome manufacturing. 1/

Try this:
1. Alter the summary text I highlighted below from SARS-NSP1 to HIV.
2. Google it.
3. Come back and ask me questions if you still don't understand why SARS-CoV is #AirborneAIDS
2/ Image
Keep in mind: scientific knowledge of ribosome biogenesis; mRNA processing, PTCs (Premature Termination stop Condon) and NMDs (Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay) were unknown prior to 2009 and are still advancing knowledge.

We often discuss how the UK was provided a Pandemic Plan which provided a balanced economic and health approach that included simple international travel surveillance but they changed after 2009 because airlines complained.
1/
Political interference overrode the science after a powerful airline executive lobbying group complained about the drop in profits when they had to temporarily inconvenience the few international flights during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.
2/ Image
The total number of UK deaths caused by H1N1 #SwineFlu (2009-2010) was 457. Tens of thousands more deaths were prevented due to the success of the Pandemic Plan which @WHO had written for the UK and Ireland.
