Like honestly this woman showed up and was like "I'm a spokesperson for Trump's legal team" and without checking her background and credentials they just put her on? *Live*?? And let her read for 2 minutes?
That felt like the scene in the first Batman movie where the Joker hacks into live news coverage to sell his "Joker Products."
Don't blame the hosts. If I'm in the chair and control says "Kick to the idiot real estate lawyer" I'm gonna say "And now, I'm being told we have an idiot real estate lawyer" and then go refill my coffee.
The problem is Trump and how he's hacked the media. Every time you put a Trump spokesperson on, they lie. If they're talking, they're lying.
To stop this, you have to have a policy "no Trump spokespeople" but, for reasons, no corporate media company is willing to make that call.

First SCOTUS opinion is whether the bankruptcy code applies on Indian land. Answer yes. I wonder if this means we're getting the big case about the Indian Child Welfare Act next.
It's 8-1 with Gorsuch dissenting. Which at this point is no surprise.
Yep. Next up is Haaland v. Brackeen. The ICWA case. And... it's a VICTORY for the Indian Child Welfare Act! The court *rejects* all challenges from people who want to adopt babies over the objection of tribal governments.

Even though I have personally abandoned respectability politics as a viable strategy for change, it's important that people understand why so many people have not, and the value that it still brings.
It *is* a survival strategy for successful black people.
None of us can get away with what white folks pull on the reg. None of us are getting asked nicely by DOJ to return stolen documents for years. None of us are going home after they arrest us for hiding national security secrets in our bathrooms. We don't survive fucking up.
For the most part, I no longer play. But note:
A: I ain't running for anything.
B: I ain't running anything.
C: And they're never gonna let me.

It is *easy* for me to be my authentic self, but that's because I can do my core job (write thoughts) without a whole lot of approval.

Andrew Weissman is about to bust this man Tim Parlatore man up.
He's arguing that the case will get kicked for prosecutorial misconduct and while he's freaking nuts, these are the kinds of motions MAGA Cannon will hear, and rule on, and even when she's wrong it'll have to be appealed to the 11th. Causing delay.
Gahh, the never went back to @AWeissmann_ after they went to the not guilty plea. Bah. Weissmann was gearing up to cross examine a fool.

The Supreme Court releases opinions in 10 minutes, so everybody's day is about to get worse
The first opinion is by KBJ and is 7-2 saying nursing home residents can go to court to enforce their rights.

Basically Ben Stiller's character from Happy Gilmore loses, over the dissent of Thomas and Alito, of course.

Kagan has the 2nd opinion in Jack Daniel's v. VIP Products. It's unanimous. It's about a dog toy made to look like a Jack bottle. Kagan is kicking it back to lower courts for review under trademark law instead of fair use, I think.
