No, that is an insult to most high schoolers. Most look out for each other and don't constantly blow things up because they need to cover for horrendously selfish misconduct. That they think they are well placed to reinvent education to get kids to agree with them blows my mind
We get constant personal responsibility mantras. Pull yourself out from under stagnant wages, crumbling services, rising prices, creaking infrastructure, erosion of rights, attacks on unions, while jolly boy takes public money to say kangaroo blobs did it
Ok, this is one of my specialist fields. Braverman trying to push the accountability for being a victim of online fraud onto you
These extreme libertarian muppets are doing to be the end of so many. Let me assure you there are things we can all learn to do, but that takes smart and targeted education with very simple high impact tips. Like being very slow to trust sites, calls, texts, and links
If in doubt, or contact is unexpected, ignore. If you think it could be valid, call or go directly to the site e.g. the bank, to check. If it is a company you never heard of then ignore it
There is so much more I could advise, but Twitter is not good for that. In interim here is the NCSC government site to report any suspected scams. It is not a waste of time. They will be pleased to hear from you and get the information
Call me old and cynical, but that Braverman offering is likely response to this and the low likelihood of the government improving this and the policing of it during remainder of their tenure. A narrative that only fools get duped is utterly facile bylinetimes.com/2023/06/06/gov…
Braverman had singularly failed to get any of her Home Office houses in order and I trust her on online fraud policing about as far as I could throw her. Too cynical?
Apologies folk, but I may be slightly tired of hard fiscal drives for public sector efficiency led by some of the folk mentioned who have persistently devalued expertise. There comes a time to get the job right Vs posturing for polling

One thing I will not miss when it is gone is Rees-Mogg's patrician drawl. His vision for the country is quite the opposite of freedom promised for almost everyone
One has to wonder what kind of constant fear some will live in knowing the secrets that Johnson had access to via WhatsApps, official briefings, and various international contacts
What bets they may be taking on who has been demonstrably loyal enough not to fall foul of his wit in upcoming writing. People who helped him make the bed we lie in and then, perhaps belatedly or only in private, realised the post hoc implication of his malleable loyalties
Means Vs ends, with means now being laid bare and ends not at all what was promised except for a very narrow set of interested parties. Some of whom a past caught up with
Do we need to school children to accept the status quo and historical definition of morals? Do we force agreement with the prevailing ethos that they are rejecting? An ethos that has shaped them, their parents and their peers for 13yrs and the lion's share of the 50yrs preceding
I abhor the culture wars and the moral panics about curricula and schools while so many are struggling. Millennials (oldest now 40+ with most of their adult life under this government) and the internet native gen Z are not stupid. Trust your young people
