As the fight for consumer attention intensifies, franchises will increasingly expand formats.

Moving forward, more and more games will be translated into mainstream films, tv shows, and vice versa.

Upcoming games that fail to create compelling universes/worlds that draw and engage players beyond solo campaigns and competitive play will struggle to maintain traction.

Parallel Studios’ foresight in this regard has been ahead of the curve.

Not only did they focus on the art/visuals and lore for their universe from day one, but they also keep developing all the complementing pieces that expand their universe beyond the TCG.

First, you have the cards - top-tier collectibles available in digital (soon physical) form.

The base set + other assets have generated over 77K ETH in volume over roughly two years.

At an average price of $2K/ETH, this amounts to roughly $155M.

The actual TCG had its alpha earlier and is now set for beta this summer.

The gameplay was also showcased live at the recent @3XPgg event.

The art goes beyond cards though. Parallel Studios' early work on their 3D asset library means that these cards have 3D counterparts, useable in AR apps and even entirely different game types, such as first-person shooters and so on.

More recently, Parallel has revealed the upcoming launch of their 3D Avatars — highly detailed characters that are, again, composable (useable across titles/formats).

But that’s not all - Parallel has even released top-tier professionally written and illustrated comics that expand the lore - two issues are out and can be purchased right now.

These foundational pieces allow @Parallel Studios to adopt and integrate new technologies extremely quickly.

An example of that is Colony — a game the studio has been working on lately — set to be the world's first AI game, powered by @OpenAI

Even all this doesn't do justice to the scale of what the studio has been building.

While the ecosystem has optional blockchain integrations, powered by $PRIME and @EchelonFND, this is about building experiences that go beyond #web3 vs #web2.

Finally, I've found the Parallel community to be one of the best in the space.

There are people who are genuinely excited about the franchise and its future and keep showing up to support it.

The ardency here is rather unparalleled.
