Let me give people a history lesson so that they understand who wears the pants in the US-Israelis relationship.

At one point in time Israel wanted to get into the jet production industry. They liked the F-16 and wanted to make their own!

Enter the IAI Lavi, single engine jet modelled after the F-16, and in many respects surpassed it for the missions appropriate for Israel.
The US was very unhappy. It threatened to terminate further defense deals with Israel until the program was terminated.

Israel complied.

But the Israelis were very sore. So some of the engineers forged a deal with China... and transferred the technology.
This is what gave birth to the J-10, an F-16 clone made by China.
America was absolutely livid about this, it had to punish Israel, barred for a decade from jets.

If you think Ukrainians are having a bad day, keep in mind /k/ is having a nervous breakdown right now as the myth of western armour's invincibility is shattered forever.

These guys spend all their days and night reading through specs, studying blue prints, painting models of tanks, putting up posters like boomers and watching "what-if" shows depicting a NATO-Russia confrontation.

Now they know the truth: Their tanks burn like any other tank.

They're coping hard.
