Alpha CEO Taehyung has caught has secretary Omega Jeongguk several times talking on the phone during late work hours.

His life, kind of flips when he overhears him one day, saying,

"Daddy will be home soon, baby."

The sound of typing through laptop keys along with the tick tick of the clock dominates the usually silent cabin of Taehyung.

The alpha's eyes feel droopy, he takes out his glasses to massage his temples, twisting the pen between his fingers.

Raking hands through his already messed up hair, Taehyung sighed tiredly.

Why did he agree to be a CEO again?

This is the seventh consecutive night where he's working in spite of the late hours.

Taehyung has stayed in working till four in the morning too, once. This should be nothing for him, but it doesn't get less exhausting.

Today, especially because after five meetings back to back, he has no energy left to finish this report, which is supposed to be +

presented tomorrow.

Choosing to take a break, he gets up from his chair and stretches his arms, twisting his torso, left and right.

Satisfied, he walks out of his cabin, looking for a sign of life, because he knows he's not alone in this fuckload of work.

His secretary, Jeongguk is in the same boat as him, probably more exhausted, considering, he arrives to the company earlier than him.

He is the most perfect person, the alpha has laid his eyes on.

Ideally, he should be saying the most 'perfect employee/secretary' but there is a twist to this tale.

Taehyung has been pining over his omega secretary for, /moon goddess/ knows how long.

Not only is the alpha impressed by his work ethic but also how he carries himself.

When he is out with Taehyung for meetings and other events, the omega is a flawlessly smart person.

But when it's just the two of them, Jeongguk lets the alpha have a glimpse of his true self.

Taehyung doesn't mean to boast or anything, but with how the omega lets his walls crumble a bit, around the alpha makes his inner wolf proud.

There is still an obvious place where Jeongguk draws the line. It's good because that way Taehyung's sanity remains intact. That way he can convince himself that it's just a crush and he has to move on.

The knowledge that Jeongguk is single, makes his heart throb a little.

While hiring the omega, he had asked him about being single, because he couldn't have someone married or in a relationship filling the tiring designation of his secretary.

Eight months ago, the alpha was delighted to hear that he is single because Jeongguk was the best +

person to become his secretary.

But after a period of time, this piece of information ignites a flicker of hope inside him.

Silly little hope.

Which might end up in disappointment, a cruel ugly emotion instead of the exuberance he's hoping for.

Catching the sight of Jeongguk hunched over the desk in his cabin, makes him grin.

Seeing his phone connected to his ear, he chooses to turn back and come another time.

Just as he turns around, Jeongguk's voice makes him halt.

"Daddy will be home soon, baby."

After screaming through texts to Jimin, Taehyung completes his work with a numb mind. Thoughts attuned to the omega whose voice is ringing in his head, like a broken record.

What if, Jeongguk lied about being single? Maybe he is dating someone, considering he has a daddy kink?

But then again, maybe he has a simple hookup, a beta, omega or an alpha who would love to call him 'daddy'.

Not everyone is like Taehyung who has given up finding people to get laid and is on the quest of capturing the attention of his attractive crush.

On normal days, Taehyung feels victorious after shutting his laptop when he's done with work.

But today is nowhere near normal. The clock is nearing one in the night. Loosening his tie, he gets up from the chair and sorts all the papers on his table into separate folders.

How is he supposed to look Jeongguk in the eyes now?

Should he make a run for the elevator and later apologise to the omega for not saying goodbye to him?

Taehyung stops in his tracks in front of Jeongguk's cabin, their eyes lock immediately.

The alpha tried to muster up a smile, but he's sure it definitely came off as a grimace.

The omega looks like he had been waiting for him. The fact that he had all his stuff packed already, and he rushed to come out of the cabin, in front of Taehyung, makes his heart flutter.

"Did you have dinner?" Jeongguk asks in lieu of a greeting.

Taehyung shakes his head, guiltily. The alpha has asked his secretary to get dinner together, several times in the past. All he has received is a polite 'no'.

He is sure that Jeongguk hasn't had dinner either, but the omega would never admit it loud, with the excuse that, 'The company will stop if you fall sick'.

Well Taehyung wanted to tell him that 'I will stop too, if you're sick'

He never did, though.

Jeongguk frowns, utterly displeased, it's cute rather.

"Don't fall asleep on an empty stomach, okay?"

Taehyung nods sincerely, he will pop a banana into his mouth before slumping on his bed for sure.

"I won't, I promise."

Now his scent turns a little sweeter, implying that he is happy with Taehyung's obedience.

"I'll see you tomorrow?"

Jeongguk nods, "Yeah. Good night, hyung."

/I heard your voice pronouncing 'daddy' and I don't know what to do with that/ gets stuck in his throat, as he watches the omega's retreating back.
