Kicking off #FridayNightZillow is an "Out of This World" listing in Kansas City. Just $349.5K! We should buy it. 3BR, 3BA, 2,380 sf. Fun! I don't think the dinosaurs or the spaceship conveys, sadly. zillow.com/homedetails/11…
What an amazing room. Sunken seating area. Built in 1968. #FridayNightZillow
Nice deck. You get a .29 acre lot with this. I don't see a catch? #FridayNightZillow
This funky beach house has my brain afire and wanting to reach for my checkbook. Just $799K. Oregon. Featured in National Geographic long ago. It's art! #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/32…?
I'm in love with the midcentury modern touches and all of the warm wood in this 1970 home. #FridayNightZillow
Next up: YURT-Style Getaway in beautiful Bath, Maine! You get 7.2 acres and a quirky 1982 house for just $410K. This is a good deal cheaper than any detached single family home in Washington, DC west of the US Capitol. #FridayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/27…
Oddly the pics are mostly shot vertical, like somebody just used an iPhone and doesn't realize it's almost always better to use landscape. #FridayNightZillow
Like I said, a BIG Dolly Parton fan. Is that honest Abe in the back? Fun fact: Some of the Lincoln busts in the Capitol have beards; at least one doesn't. #FridayNightZillow
What if I told you you could have 4BR, 4BA in the heart of Washington, DC for under $400K with some of the most powerful people on Earth as your neighbors? "No property tax"? #FridayNightZillow zillow.com/homedetails/65…
That's right, you can hang out at the Wharf not far from Joe Manchin. Easy commute. Ride an e-Bike to work. Keep an eye on the lobbyists. #FridayNightZillow
Hope you enjoyed this chill version of #FridayNightZillow. Big thanks to my sister-in-law for finding most of these listings tonight. Didn't get to everything tipsters sent in because I had a busy week. See y'all next time!

Just went on possibly the perfect DC bike ride. Will compare these stats next time when I’m in better shape.
Bike route below. Start @ Sligo Creek near Holy Cross Hospital. Turn right at Northwest Branch Trail. Then take East side Anacostia trail to Nationals Park. Go west to Potomac River/Wharf trail. Get falafel to go. Go to Wash Monument. Eat in shade. Rock Creek all the way back up.
The falafel was fantastic. Got there right after it opened so everything was super fresh. $6 for the bowl, $1 xtra for hummus, plus tax and tip. Shockingly cheap for the Wharf.
Just FYI, there is nothing in the debt deal that actually forces Congress to pass 12 appropriations bills or to stay under the spending caps.
Congress can do an omnibus and not trigger automatic spending cuts.
Congress can bust the caps.
The deal's only enforceable if the House, Senate or WH decides to enforce it.
Can point to past laws which have NOT been enforced. (See: Never-enforced PAYGO law)
Jackie Kennedy's house in Georgetown just went on sale, and it's now the most expensive listing in Washington, DC. $26.5M. 16K+ square feet, 13BR, 18BA. Built in 1794. Follow along for another #FridayNightZillow!🧵 zillow.com/homedetails/30…
This is the kind of place I always imagine when reading something in the Style section about the "Salons of Georgetown..." #FridayNightZillow
Opulent rooms. Many updated. Kitchens. You'll need a staff to run the place. The place absorbed some of the neighboring properties a few years ago so is expanded from Jackie's time here. A Miss America, secretary of war, assorted other people have lived here. #FridayNightZillow
Lindsey Graham tells @AriNatter he plans to introduce a carbon border adjustment bill as soon as next week; the idea is to incentivize global emission reductions while giving credit to cleaner US producers.
It's one *big* climate idea w/rare GOP support bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Other senators working on carbon border adjustment include: Bill Cassidy, who calls it a "foreign pollution fee"; Kevin Cramer; Sheldon Whitehouse; Chris Coons.
Rs pitch the idea as the "America first" way to do climate. It could also benefit US companies you may not associate with climate initiatives: oil and gas, chemicals, steel and so on. That's because US producers are usually far cleaner than the competition.
Joe Manchin wrote Inflation Reduction Act restrictions on EV tax credits specifically to *cut China out of the EV supply chain.* When WH's Podesta yesterday blessed Chinese company involvement in US production, angry Manchin responded —> bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Manchin has been teeing off on the Biden administration as he considers whether to run for reelection — or even president — in 2024. And getting separation from Biden is essential in a state where Trump won by 39 in 2020. —> bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Manchin's outperformance in West Virginia — he won by 3 points in 2018 — has Democratic leaders wooing him to run again. It's complicated — he was crucial to every Biden legislative success, and also to Biden's biggest failure — when he knifed BBB in Dec. '21.
Manchin’s idea: Pair debt limit with bipartisan commissions with fast-track power to get House & Senate floor votes on Medicare and Social Security proposals. (Mitt Romney’s been pushing this for a while.)
SuperCommittee II?
Some of you may be old enough to remember the failed SuperCommittee, the Simpson-Bowles Commission, the Gang of Six, the Bipartisan Talks led by Biden/Cantor and the Gang of Two talks between Boehner and Obama. They all failed and end result was sequestration & no long term plan.
