Hackers can easily create phishing links that appear similar to the original ones.

• Verify official links on their social accounts (Official Twitter Page, Coingecko).
• Bookmark the official links for quick access and verification.

🍥 Prefer hardware over software wallet.

- To put it simply, software wallets pose a main concern as they store the private key on the system itself, which is connected to the internet.
- This increases the risk of "remote hacks," a threat that can be mitigated by using HWs.

🍥 Avoid downloading unknown software on your main system.

- By downloading unfamiliar software, you are essentially inviting viruses and malware.
- These malicious programs can include keyloggers and other tools specifically designed to acquire your private key.

🍥 Never store your private key on online storage services or any device connected to the internet.

- Given the recent surge in cases of google drive and other cloud storage hacks, it's essential to prioritize the security of your private key.

🍥 Use burner wallets when interacting with new protocols.

- Try utilizing a separate wallet that doesn't hold your primary portfolio when interacting with new protocols or dApps.
- This way, in the event of any vulnerabilities, your main assets remain secure.

🍥 Use a Multisig/Smart Contract wallet

- Multisig wallets require multiple private key confirmations for specific transactions, significantly bolstering your security.
- While it may seem complex for newcomers, the added layer of protection is well worth considering.

🍥 Verify before interacting with airdrop claim links on Twitter, Discord, or any social channels.

- Learn from the Orbiter hack incident where a hacker infiltrated their Discord server and shared a deceptive "Airdrop claim" link.
- People began interacting...

with the link, by signing the transaction in expectation of claiming the tokens.
- But in turn, their wallet got drained.
- Overall, the hacker managed to steal over $200K.

🍥 Enhance centralized exchange security with 2FA and withdrawal passwords.

- Boost your protection on centralized exchanges with multiple layers of security.
- Login password ➝ OTP & Withdrawal password ➝ 2FA

🍥 Revoke permissions

It's always good to review the contracts you've granted permission to and revoke access when not needed.

🔮 To do so:
• Connect and search your wallet at: revoke.cash
• Check the action section and revoke permissions accordingly.

🍥 Setting 2FA authentication on your social accounts.

- Twitter and Discord hacks are common these days.
- It's always better to use 2FA authentication.
- I recommend using Google authenticator or Authy over SMS. (Sim swaps are easy)
- Hardware keys like the Yubi key are best.
