for the past few months, idol wy has been receiving threatening gifts from a 'fan'

"please, lz! you're the only one i trust" he pleads, tears running down his face

once wy has finally calmed down, lz makes a show of carefully packaging up the latest 'gift'

a photo of wy & wn, wy's arm wrapped around wn's waist, smiling widely at the camera

except wn's face has been cut out, an accompanying letter saying 'you're mine. no one else can have you'

he sees wy nervously eyeing the box so he takes hold of his hand, stroking his wrist

as expected, wy turns to face him, small smile on his lips "thanks, lz. i only ever feel safe with you"

lz makes a vow to himself that wy will always feel safe, protected & loved when he is around

the move goes smoothly. lz ignores his brother's searching looks and pursed lips

instead he focuses on the thought that his goal is finally in sight

entering wy's apartment, lz feels a rush of satisfaction

he gets to see wy when he wakes up, see him before he goes to sleep

watch him yawn as he waits impatiently for lz to make his coffee

lz does his best to show how great of a boyfriend he will be

he makes sure the apartment is spotless. he cooks wy's favourite meals. he does the grocery shopping. he watches wy's favourite movies without complaint

a few weeks later, wy gets a phone call

"omg, you really found him?!" he gasps, eyes seeking lz's immediately as he listens to the caller

"su she. I've never even heard of him. wait-what?! he's a backup dancer?"

wy shivers in disgust "well, I'm just glad it's finally over"

another small pause "thank you for letting me know. I really appreciate it. Goodbye"

lz raises his eyebrows in question, although he knows the answer already

wy comes over and flops onto the couch, placing his head in lz's lap

lz runs his fingers through wy's hair, hint of a smile on his face when wy almost purrs in contentment

"so! that was nhs. they found the person who sent the packages! I'm so glad he's been arrested"

lz hmms "that is a relief"

wy beams at him "yeah!"

ss obviously hadn't sent the packages but lz had made it appear so, thanks to the nhs' help

he had overheard ss making snide comments about wy during his last tour and was furious so he decided to frame him

his tiny moment of hesitation ended when he found ss' online account

creating fake rumours about wy, calling him names, saying he was terrible at his job

lz smirks as he imagines su she's face as the police turned up. that will teach him not to make lies up about his wy

lz clears his throat "now that the perpetrator has been found, would you prefer i move out?"

he keeps his face as neutral as possible

wy sits up suddenly, looking unsure "is that-do you, i mean, if you want to?"

lz takes a deep breath, hoping it will give him the courage to speak of his feelings "if wy wishes for me to leave, i will. however, i would like to stay here if you would have me"

wy bites his lip "yeah? i would like that too. a lot, actually"

lz nods slowly "but" he notices wy's face fall as rushes to add "i must confess something first"

he can't bear to see that dejected expression on wy's face

wy tilts his hear "confess what?"

lz takes hold of wy's hand "that i am in love with you"

wy sucks in a breath, eyes glistening with tears "y-you love me?"

at lz's nod, wy laughs loudly, smoothing lz's frown with his fingers "that's good. that's so freaking good. because I feel the same"

lz feels his heart stutter, finally hearing the words he has fantasised about since he started working with wy two years ago

"that makes me unbelievably happy"

lz bends down, so slowly, watching as wy's eyes widen in understanding. wy eye's flutter closed as their lips meet

lz kisses him and kisses him and kisses him some more

eventually wy pulls away, panting deeply "wow" he sighs dreamily

"mn" lz agrees

lz never does leave. instead he gets upgraded from the spare room to wy's bedroom

lz takes his job as wy's bodyguard seriously, especially after they're married

he protects him during the day and holds him close during the night, waking every morning with wy sprawled over his body

lz just listens to his steady breathing and wonders how he got so lucky

little does /lan zhan/ know that wy was aware of everything

that wy was even the one who planted the seed in lz's head

"lz, you should be glad i don't have any crazy fans. I'd need you by myself 24/7 then. youd never get rid of me then"

"lz, I heard another idol started receiving some scary parcels. If that was me, I'd only feel safe in my apartment if u were there"

he's just glad lz got there in the end even though it took him almost 2 years, wy thinks with a pout
