I'm here in London, for @TheCanadaFiles, covering the first stop of Dimitri Lascaris' Canada-wide tour: "Making Peace with Russia, One Handshake at a Time". The event is starting soon.
Lascaris on the danger of the NATO proxy war against Russia.
Lascaris on how NATO lied to the USSR about not expanding further east.
Lascaris on the people's uprisings in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk after the 2014 Maidan coup, which came since they refused to recognize the Maidan coup government.
Lascaris on the views of Russian people he met on his self-financed trip
Lascaris on how Russia's economic situation and life expectancy has improved under Putin's leadership, while emphasizing that there are some legitimate critiques of Putin's leadership.
Lascaris speaks about Ukrainian goverment pre-conditions for peace negotiations as poison to potential for these negotiations. Lascaris speaks about how he learned as a class actions lawyer, that preconditions are poison to negotiations, and almost never lead to an agreement. 1/2
2/2, of the last section.
Lascaris doesn't believe that Zelensky is interested in peace negotiations, based on Zelensky's preconditions for negotiations.
Lascaris asks why Canadians would oppose the dismantling of neo-Nazi military units in Ukraine, and educational efforts to warn people of the crimes of the Ukrainian banderites.
I asked Lascaris about potential Western subversion of a peace deal mediated by China and/or the Global South, and what Canadians could do to oppose this, if said situation occurred. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
I asked Lascaris a follow-up question: how do anti-war and anti-imperialist Canadians combat the power of the right-wing Ukrainian Canadian Congress, in view of bringing a new Canadian government to power, which would prioritize peace?
1/2
2/2 of my second question and Lascaris' response.
Lascaris believes it is crucial for people to elevate the voices of Ukrainian Canadians who oppose the actions of the UCC and Canadian government policy towards Ukraine, to combat the UCC's power.
I'm here in Hamilton, for @TheCanadaFiles, covering the 2nd stop of Dimitri Lascaris' Canada-wide tour: "Making Peace with Russia, One Handshake at a Time".
Ukraine supporters have already made their presence known and are trying to get in without tickets. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Beyond parody. Trudeau is pretending that having a Truth & Reconciliation Commission in Canada, while a genocide is still ongoing against Indigenous Nations, gives Canada moral ground to ignore China's call for a UN investigation into Canadian genocide.
Additionally, the CBC article even cites the thoroughly debunked Raoul Wallenberg Centre & Newlines Institute report showcased to regurgitate debunked claims of alleged genocide in Xinjiang. Kudos to @ajitxsingh & @TheGrayzoneNews for exposing the report.
I wrote this article for @TheCanadaFiles on why it is farcical to equate debunked claims of "genocide" in Xinjiang to an undoubtedly proven and ongoing genocide against Indigenous Nations within so-called Canada, it's worth a read.
Hahaha I actually think they might do that. I could see it. Matthew Green wilding on Twitter dot com, calling anyone asking for a $15 minimum wage a "tankie".
It's an explosive one folks. Canadian parliament wants to build a formal "democracy promotion" institute, to build upon the current regime change efforts led by CIDA and Global Affairs Canada.
Rights & Democracy was legislated into existence in 1988 and was in operation by 1990, with all party support. The first head of this organization was @broadbent institute founder & former NDP leader Ed Broadbent. He led the organization for seven years.
