She says that this piece of legislation is so broad that no Irish citizen can be sure they won't fall foul of it. She says it's hard to see this law as anything other than something to produce a chilling effect, preventing free speech.
Tom Clonan is up now. He says that despite some images of him that circulated online he is not part of any coalition that has anything to do with Hate Speech.
She says that some senators have had a problem with the definition of gender. She says the definition used in the bill is to facilitate people who aren't male or female.
She says that she is very sorry about what Tom Clonan went through when he exposed what was happeining in the army. She says this bill will not provide people with a tool to silence others.
They've finished early at half four. It was supposed to end at five. Before they finished they voted on amendment one, only it's not clear what amendment one is. The majority voted against it. This was the result. 👇
What is happening in Irish secondary schools - a thread of my experiences with gender ideology in my school.
It all began in November 2021 when my school celebrated "Stand Up Week" or "Stand Up Awareness Week".
This week is supposedly set up as a show of support and inclusion for LGBTQ+ people.
In reality, it's about indoctrinating impressionable teens with gender ideology.
Posters were put up everywhere with slogans like "Everyone is Welcome Here". Seems like a nice thing to say, right? But as I soon found out, "Everyone" really meant "Everyone who tows the line to our ideology".
Sexism feels like something that died towards the end of the 20th century. Something that couldn't exist in the "inclusive", "progressive" society that we live in today.
The truth? It's alive, well and rearing its ugly head again.
It's just gotten a rebrand.
Sexism has been given a makeover and wrapped in the trans flag.
Doesn't change a thing though. It will never be inclusive or progressive.
And there will always be people who fight against it.
Women who didn't conform to feminine stereotypes used to be told that they weren't being "proper" women.
Now these women are being told they're actually men.
"Gender identity refers to whether someone feels male or female or something else. It describes how you feel inside, not how you might look on the outside."
What a load of waffle. Every single person on this planet is either a male or a female. There is NO "something else".

It starts with a family talking about how salads used to only have two ingredients, now salads often have lots of exotic ingredients. Cue the family discussing all the different genders these days.
We are women, we are warriors of steel.
Woman is something no man will ever feel.
Woman is not a skill that any man can hone.
Woman is our word and it is ours alone.
I am not a dress to be worn on a whim,
A man in a dress is nonetheless a him.
Women are not simply what we wear.
If this offends you, I do not care.
