How to make incredibly photorealistic images with #Midjourney

It's easy.

Just follow these steps: Image
As an example, let's start with a simple prompt.

Prompt: A smiling woman with flowers

Now, let's fix the seed and make her more realistic. A smiling woman with flowers
You might be tempted to try adding "realistic" or "photorealistic" to the prompt.

Example: A realistic smiling woman with flowers

It doesn't work. Thanks @icreatelife for pointing this out! A realistic smiling woman w...
The key is to add "a photo of" to the prompt.

Example: A photo of a smiling woman with flowers

Much better!

But there's a problem.

This photo is realistic, but the scene is not.

Women don't usually have flowers exploding from their hair. A photo of a smiling woman ...
The last step is to add a suitable camera + lens to the prompt.

The Nikon D850 camera with a 85mm lens is good for taking pictures of people.

They make the scene look like something from real life.

Prompt: A photo of a smiling woman with flowers, Nikon D850, 85mm lens A photo of a smiling woman ...
And that's how you make photorealistic images with Midjourney!

If you found this post useful, like and retweet to share it with others.

See you soon. Cheers!

Here's how you can modify any image while keeping the important parts of the picture the same.

Thanks @heyBarsee for the inspiration!

It's actually really easy.

See the steps ⬇️
#1 Get a reference image.

The final image will be based on this reference pic.

It should be simple and have high contrast.

Here's one I made with Midjourney.

You can also find an image from the Internet.

Or draw it yourself!

Doesn't have to be pretty.

Tile is an extremely useful parameter in Midjourney.

1⃣ Put --tile at the end of your prompt.
2⃣ Upscale the image that you like.

#1 Medium shot

This shot shows the subject from the chest up.

Note: The actual definition of a medium shot is from the waist up, but Midjourney interprets it differently.

Example: A medium shot of a young Nordic woman Image
#2 Closeup shot

This shot focuses tightly on the subject. Anything below the neck area is cropped away.

Note: If you add more details and an expression to the subject, it can look very intense.

Sharing a useful #midjourney tip I learnt

"Intricate details" is a very powerful prompt.

Depending on your original image, it has different (and cool) effects.

Here's an example:

1⃣ a flower
2⃣ a flower, intricate details
