1/ Mobilised Russians who were reportedly sold for 25,000 rubles each to a mercenary group are reportedly being used as cannon fodder by the mercenaries, while due to a lack of provision, they are having to wear summer uniforms stripped from the bodies of the dead. ⬇️

2/ The men were originally reported to have been sold to the Wagner Group, and then forced at gunpoint to sign contracts with the 'PMC Wolves' mercenary company. 100 of them refused and subsequently disappeared.

3/ PMC Wolves appears to be an offshoot of Wagner. A TikTok video by an apparent Wolves member, published in April 2023, calls it a "sabotage-recon assault brigade" and describes its work as "covering soldiers of the PMC Wagner" in Soledar.

4/ Some of the 'sold' mobiks have re-emerged in the occupied Luhansk region. They are said to have been brought back to the Stakhanov Carriage Works, where they were earlier reportedly being hidden from Russian Ministry of Defence investigators looking into relatives' complaints.

5/ One mother says: "My son got in touch on 9 June, two months after the events at the plant. He said they had been brought back to the factory where it all started. To Stakhanov. There they bathed for the first time in two months."

6/ "As my son told me, during all this time he washed once in a puddle and once in a swamp."

7/ She says that the men are still fighting as part of the 'Wolves' mercenary group. "On 10 June they were sent back near Soledar. According to the documents, they are not listed as fighting on the front line. They don't get paid, my son hasn't been on leave since autumn 2022."

8/ It's been reported on several occasions that the Russians are not bothering to remove their dead from the battlefield, resulting in their soldiers having to live and fight among decomposing corpses. The woman says her son is in the same situation.
