at the start of the war the russian ground forces were about 300K... thats it.

the 1.1-5 million is a OVERALL number of everything, ships at sea, air defense, rail troops, guys at small checkpoints etc...
so the overall force invading ukr was about 350K. counting national guard and other internal troops.

the first meeting the 35th CAA, 35th CAA, 1st tank army, etc... got screwed. no other wat to put it.

i think we are seeing something with this draw down..
what i think is going on is that we dont have the number of "serviceable" older bradley vehicles in stock.

we (army) has moved on from ODS and SA versions to the A3/4 versions of the M2/M7 vehicles in storage.
the US has been mass scrapping the M2 for years.
the DOD has decided that the US does not need heavy any more, and that in some way some how the army is some day going to get rid of the M2.... so they DLA has already started. M2 storage at red river depot over the last few… twitter.com/i/web/status/1… ImageImage

that is one HELL of a blast, and the crew managed to get out... i was in a brad for 15+ years.. the crews bitch about them but they can take a hit. Image
