I just can't get over this attack on NAFO. While russian opposition was yelling at the whole world for being unfair, cartoon dogs were collecting real money, running real projects, and doing real stuff that saved lives.
Do you know how many concerned russian politicians supported my project to collect generators for Odesa? With people dying not from sharks but from being incapable of drinking fucking water. Zero. None.
Fellas were supportive at every step, they sent links to projects, they donated money, they were spreading every initiative to help Ukraine like wildfire. And it's not like we never had arguments. For fucking sure we did and it is... OK???
In the perfectly normal fight of ego vs the cause, NAFO consistently was 1000% better, communicating and collaborating. My DMs are full of those dogs right now, brainstorming, asking, and proposing. What I got from russian opposition? Heehee...
I'll say the thing that will make everyone sad. Hating Russia is OK. I do hate it even though I am inside. It destroyed my fucking life. It threatens to kill people I love. It kills them. And if you think that is unfair, put the finger out of your ass.
With all these concerns about "the perception of antiwar russians" I have a single thing to say. Let's stop the war and talk later. Nobody gives a shit about who we are and what we think, while every morning is a massacre.
And please, please, please, stop attacking those who help. They are doing your job.
This thread is a fucking mess. But it's personal and I am furious. Fuck these guys. Thread over.

A terrifying yet important article, which shows a 1% of 1% of what happens when Russians invade. telegraph.co.uk/global-health/…
I am not trying to be dramatic or say about Russian "special barbaric genes" but the combination of factors makes systemic sexual violence inevitable. And until Russia is stopped it will only get worse.
While on the surface, the army is based on strict discipline and some sort of a code, the actual closest "sibling" of russian army is russian prison. Both rely on combination of official and unofficial rules and power dynamics based on violence.

Elena Milashina, one of the greatest journalists I know, was attacked in Chechnya by people with guns. They've beaten her and broke multiple fingers. They've put a gun to her head.
- We told you to leave and not to write anything.
Milashina is in the hospital right now.
By many including me Elena Milashina became the spiritual successor to Anna Politkovskaya. For years she was consistently covering Chechnya - torture, corruption, kidnappings - most of what we know about the situation in Chechnya comes from this incredibly brave woman.
She was with the lawyer Dmytry Nemov who was heavily beaten and can barely talk. The attack on a journalist from Novaya and a lawyer by uncontrollable thugs who receive financing from the Kremlin sounds familiar. Luckily with a different outcome than with Baburova and Markelov.

I agree and disagree with this tweet at the same time. My assumption is that Prigozhin managed to get out of the 99,9% possibility of death to the comfort of 80%. Here is what happened, based on my observations.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a medium so that might be bullshit.
One of my favorite movies, "Good Time", pictures a man who is a natural survivor but stupid. Every "quick smart decision" gets him out of real-time trouble but digs him deeper into long-term consequences. That's pretty much Prigozhin - he buys his "Good time".
Through the years, he made his reputation as a fixer. Whatever Russia wanted, he was ready to provide some service. American election? Troll farms. Business in Africa? Well-trained half assassins half guards. LNR/DNR "leaders" get too independent? Wagner is ready to shut them.

Hola, Europe! It was a lot of fun yesterday, but let's get back to old boring nuclear plants. Bad news: what you saw was the demo of the plant's future - nobody has control on the russian side and the uncontrollable nuclear station sounds like a bad comic book origin story.
Prigozhin will decide to get back or soldiers who put mines inside will forget to tell about the mines inside, or Kadyrov decides to make a present for Putin, or Putin will give an order to explode it. WE DON'T KNOW! And nuclear 'don't knows' end up with catastrophes.
But there is good news too. What you saw yesterday was a demo of what should you do. The moment you stop being a mumbling indecisive servant and leave Putin no choice, all his bravado falls apart. If a thug with an army and a Telegram channel can do it, you also can.

Everyone was so terrified of russian nukes. Well, Russia basically nuked Ukraine, the only difference is that water doesn't seem that DRAMATIC. But it is. The short and long-term destruction caused by this makes the nuclear attack sit in the corner.
For the sake of scale (without modeling water contamination) that's the 800kt Topol nuke radius. Not a tiny Hiroshima-size tactical nuke, but a huge ass strategic one brings a fraction of what Russia just did. Image
But long-term contamination of the soil? Come on. If a nuke explodes in the air, it brings like 1% (not really, but a tiny part) of long-term damage that is already done. The soil there is basically fucked. And it's not just 'some soil' it's the most precious soil in the world. Image

Well, @CITeam_en come to the same conclusion but with way more analysis and satellite porn. Once again, that doesn't make Russia any less guilty of this catastrophe. And yes, our next step is to investigate those responsible for the dam.
notes.citeam.org/ru-dispatch-ju…
@CITeam_en My next step is to try to talk to the contractors and I really hope, that way more professional journalists emerge because I am bad at talking to murderers.
And to those who say the dam 'was designed to handle a nuclear strike'.
1) What the fuck does that mean?
2) No, it wasn't.
Engineering happened in the early nuclear days, the initial base was built before Castle Bravo.
Stop spreading bullshit.
