Biden Administration National Security Advisor Sullivan has been the most consistently wrong man still working for the President.

Ukraine's S-200 missile turned "Ersatz ATACMS" makes his opposition to AFU ATACMS look utterly silly.

1/4
I mean, seriously?🤡🔽

All NSA Sullivan functionally accomplished in opposing ATACMS was to force Ukraine to field a longer range ATACMS substitute which might reach Moscow, for which the Biden Adm. has zero ability to control.🙄

2/4
How did that 'reduce escalation' in Ukraine?

Even by the lights of Western "Escalation Management" theory, causing a situation where Kyiv could be lobbing 1,000 S-200's converted into GPS ballistic missile shots into Moscow decreases stability.

3/4
But for some reason NSA Sullivan is a "Fireproof" & "To Big To Fail" figure is the Biden Administration.

So, we are going to have to live with the nasty downstream effects of NSA Sullivan's utterly silly & Russian reflexive control addled "Escalation Management" worldview🤦‍♂️

So, the "Great Hawk Roundup" I've advocated for since 2022 has come to pass.

The Biden Administration should be highly praised for this move.

It is very strategically & financially astute policy act.

And specifically here in that thread:

This:

>>"even lightly wounded Russians dying for lack of first aid"

...has been obvious to anyone who is not a professionally employed as a Western intelligence analyst since March 2022.

Western non-analysis of Russian casualties and their implications🧵
1/
It was nice to see the Institute for the Study of War admit on 10 July 2023 that the bloody obvious reality of the dysfunctional, Napoleonic era, Russian medical evacuation and care system was...

...obviously bloody.🙄

2/
The raw data on the barbaric Russian military medical system has been out there all this time.

This is a thread of mine from 15 May 2023.

This video of a Ukrainian Mavic drone dropping a grenade to clear Russian anti-tank mines is downstream from the fact Ukraine has trained one drone operator per 100 troops.

Drone Tech🧵
1/
https://t.co/HSx9lXDLz5
Not only does AFU have drone operators with every artillery forward observer.

It has grenade dropping drones with it's combat engineers to assist in mine clearing, both finding & clearing them.

The lack of such drones at that scale in Western and particularly the US Army...
2/
...leaves them behind in the drone arms race the Russo-Ukrainian war has kicked off.

Small-cheap-many drones are the "Dreadnought battleship technological event" of the 21st century.

Ways of fighting without drones are going to lose to ways of fighting with them, every time.

If this ATACMS report is true, I wonder how much Ukraine's use of the S-200V/D Vega / Dubna / SA-5 GAMMON in the ground to ground role inside Russian territory had to do with it?🤔

1/ https://t.co/fV7gueyjeJ
The S-200V/D Vega / Dubna, NATO code named SA-5 GAMMON, was designed an an anti-access air denial weapon to take down the SR-71 Blackbird & B-70 Valkyrie mach 3 aircraft.

The SA-5's 5V28 missile has two control laws that are selectable at launch. The short range one used

2/
...conventional proportional navigation (P-nav) with earth bias.

The long range control law has a steep climb and cruise at stratospheric altitude (60K to 80K feet) to a reciprocal track & dive on the target with P-nav & semi-active terminal homing via 5N62 R/F illumination.

This video underlines in 🔥🔥🔥 that the drone unmanned small-cheap-many is overthrowing the Post-Cold War era of crewed big-costly-few.

Drone tender drones carrying kamikaze drone swarms is the least of it.

It will take losing a war to break the addiction to big-costly-few
1/5
...for the militaries so addicted.

The US Army was lucky in 1940 to have the fall of France discredit the horse cavalry.

The US Navy's battleship Admirals and President Roosevelt ignored the lessons of the Fleet problem where Adm King destroyed a battle line at Pearl Harbor
2/5
...and the British Raid on the Italian battleline at Taranto.

The vulnerability of the USN Battleline at Pearl Harbor was so politically incorrect in the US Navy after FDR fired Adm James Otto Richardson over pointing out that exact weakness...

This @PStyle0ne1 mine clearance video shows a lot of things about state of the art minefield breaching.

1. Look at the two horns with attached electric cables at the front of the mine roller. Those are generating a magnetic field for mines so fused.

1/
https://t.co/F5KLZEcUHn
2. Note that the two banks of mine roller wheels overlap so no bit of ground it moves through is untouched.

Uneven ground limited the effectiveness of earlier generations of mine rollers, but this AFU one has sprung suspension for every roller wheel.

Look left in the video
2/

3. Note the power of the various mine explosions. Small pops are anti-personnel landmines. The large ones are anti-tank landmines.

Mine roller assemblies like that can take ~5 AT-mine hits before they have to go back and be repaired.

Each roller is built so damaged...
