Bard now has some features that don't exist on ChatGPT.

Microsoft has released a new open source AI model

Phi-4-mini is surprisingly powerful for its size (3.8B!)

You can use it for free locally on your Windows, MacOS or Linux laptop.

Copilot “Think Deeper” is quite underrated

You can automate your Excel data processing by using it for free.

With just one prompt I have:

→ Generated the macro
→ Sorted the data
→ Automatically calculated important values

Steps and template below:

Open Copilot (copilot .microsoft .com) and click on the Think Deeper icon in the text field.

(You can also use the Copilot in Windows 11).

2. Use this prompt template

Prompt:

You're an expert in data processing and writing Excel macros. Using the sample data below from an xlsx file, write a macro that sorts the rows in descending “Profit” order and calculates the average of the “Sales”, “Gross Sales” and “Profit” columns.

Completely free and available on Mac, Windows, Linux 🧵

Go to and download the version for your OS. lmstudio.ai

2. Download Phi-4

Open LM Studio and in the search section type “Phi-4”.

Select a GGUF version for Windows/Linux or MLX for macOS.

Tip: if you have a potato laptop (like me), choose the Unsloth version.
