He might be telling the truth.

Let’s analyze the statement and the song:

A thread
First of all, here are the lyrics to Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town”
Image
Image
The first question we must ask is “what, specifically, is the ‘that’ that Aldean is requesting we try?”

“Sucker punch[ing] somebody on a sidewalk” appears to reference the “Knockout Game,” a group activity where rabid negroes randomly clock white ppl upside the head Image
But here’s the thing about the “knockout game,”

It’s just something white people made up.

Let’s be clear: there are people who sucker punch people, which is wrong. But the notion that negroes enjoy committing random acts of violence against whites… npr.org/sections/codes…
Is actually an American tradition. In the 1980s, it was called “wilding.” During the civil rights era GOP Sen. & VP candidate William Miller coined a phrase to demonize ppl who believed civil rights protesters were nonviolent & not attacking brave police officers:
“Soft on crime” Image
The idea has justified lynchings for more than a century. Remember, the event that turned Ida B Wells into America’s biggest anti-lynching crusader started with the accusation that a Black kid sucker punched a white boy as they played marbles
Image
Image
To be fair, it’s possible Aldean wasn’t talking about Black people. You know who sucker punch more people than rabid negro thugs?

Cops

We talk about police killings but what about the people who survive?

Of those hospitalized by cops, only 1% are shot

policeepi.uic.edu/data-civilian-…
41% are punched or manhandled. Black males are 2x likely to be shot by cops but 5x to be punched

So either Jason Aldean was fueling a racist conspiracy theory about or he was telling the truth & he doesn’t want cops in his small town

But wait… There’s more
Who’s carjacking people?

This one’s easy. Most car thieves (61%)are white but most carjackers (56%) are Black. He doesn’t care about cars being stolen, Jason should actually be applauded for caring about black people. You know why?

White people don’t really get carjacked

Whew! Image
Again, Jason isn’t worrying about business owner getting money stolen, he’s only worried about crimes black people commit

The VAST MAJORITY (76%) of business losses due to crime is caused by embezzlement & forgery.

52% of embezzlers are WHITE WOMEN (shocked me too!)
But who are these people Jason claims to protect and love so much in the small rural town he’s protecting with his granddaddy’s gun?

White people Image
But what happens to these thugs in small towns?

Jason wouldn’t call the police on these criminals (remember, they be punching people).

Jason wouldn’t make a citizens arrest

He mentions his granddaddy’s guns & says he has “good ol boys ready to fight)

Sounds like a lynch mob
Image
Image
But some people would disagree. Now, for 250 years, Black people have been fighting for a lynching law. Those activists had 4 criteria that defined a lynching:

1. It had to be extrajudicial
2. It had to be done by 3 or more ppl
3. It had to public

But here’s the thing:
A lynching is not just a hanging. In fact, a lynching isn’t always a murder. Many people survived lynchings. But even when the attempt was unsuccessful the ACTION was still a lynching.

But since Congress finally passed a lynching law, let’s see the official definition Image
“If death or serious bodily injury…results from the offense”

Legally it is a lynching

Police be lynching
Mobs be lynching
Racist white people be lynching
America be lynching

But not Jason Aldean Image
Jason Aldean just made a lynching carol for racist white people in America

I’m sure you think I’m gonna mention Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, the Black fur trader who is known as the first non-indigenous resident of Chicago.

But du Sable was not enslaved when he moved to the mouth of the Chicago river in 1790.

So who TF was buying furs?
Well, remember all that was French territory. In 1719 French entrepreneur Philippe François Renault hopped in a boat in the South of France, stopped in Haiti to purchase 200-500 humans beings & headed to “Upper Louisiana”

By 1760, 900 ppl were enslaved in “Illinois Country” Image

There's a long history of sending military officers into Black cities to stop "crime."

In fact, I'd argue that this is what caused the Democrat & GOP realignment

The story involves gangbangers, bowling, a stolen election & the civil rights era's bloodiest event

A thread:
First of all, when people say it's "unconstitutional" to use the military against civilians, they're not EXACTLY wrong.

It's ILLEGAL.

It began when violent gangbangers & anti-American thugs were causing problems in Democrat-run cities and whining about voter suppression Image
After the Civil War, the traitors who betrayed their country returned to the Democrat-controlled South with their asses thoroughly kicked.

Many patriotic Americans wanted to arrest them for treason, but the prisons were already full.

Don't blame them. It's their culture. Image

Literally none of this is true.

By now, it has become apparent that this man is much dumber than people initially thought, but here is why this specific act of ignorance is so common.

A thread.
"Slavery was standard practice throughout earth..."

Let's start here.

While MOST societies (not all) had forms of involuntary subjugation, people who don't know things use their ignorance and privilege to flatten the idea of slavery.
I always found it funny that ppl who say "slavery existed in every society," also LOVE to differentiate between indentured servants and enslaved people.

Whitewashing the uncomfortable parts of the past doesn't just affect Black stories. For example, you can't fully appreciate how a peanut farmer from Plains, GA became a beloved president unless you know TRUE Black History.

The unwhitewashed history of Jimmy Carter:

A thread.
Jimmy Carter was a simple peanut farmer who grew up in Plains, GA when the deep South was defined by racism. His family taught him not to see color. Instead of asking for handouts, they focused on God, education and...

OK, none of that happened.
First of all, to understand where Jimmy Carter comes from, you have to go back a few generations. Because you probably already know a few of his cousins.

In fact, he might not even be the most famous person in his family. But I'll let you decide.

There's a very interesting connection between Mark Zuckerberg's right-wing turn and the guy who might be the most powerful person in American media. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, so...

A thread.
First of all, let's be clear. Mark Zuckerberg's didn't just announce changes to Meta's content moderation policy. He didn't even announce that Meta's content policy will change.

He announced that his company is willing to help kill people.

How?
First of all, replacing fact-checking with community notes doesn't just mean misinformation and hate will spread, it means people will die because of it.

For instance , Facebook removed MILLIONS of posts containing COVID misinformation.

If anyone knows anything about “wokeness” CRT, the national anthem and being a real American, it’s Brett Favre

A (short) thread
Brett Favre is a descendant of Simon Favre, a famous“interpreter” who could speak multiple native languages.

Simon entered the family business at a young age and owned dozens of slaves and 100s of acres

But that wasn’t the family business.

The Favres stole land Image
The scam worked like this:

The Favres would move near a native tribe, earn their trust and convince native Americans that giving up their land & assimilating was in their best interest.

In exchange, they could keep some of the stolen land

Simon was BORN FOR THIS Image
