And if you’re wondering how or why Jay Ashcroft received Missouri Right To Life’s endorsement for his gubernatorial campaign when he has NEVER cast an anti-abortion vote… now you have your answer. He’s interfering in our democratic process in exchange for a campaign endorsement.

I’ll add that regardless of how much I hate this, I have no intention of buying a bunch of them and shooting them in a field or smacking them with a baseball bat on the lawn of the state Capitol (when I should be working). So there’s that.
And down the rabbit hole I go. A friend sent me this thinking it would make me laugh. I don’t know that there’s a term to describe how I’m feeling right now. I can say that he’s now on my list. And I need new friends.

Representative @PeterforMO called out the hypocrisy of Moon’s vote against not allowing 12-year-olds to marry adults. #MoLeg
This is the roll call vote on the bill raising the minimum age to marry in Missouri. While this vote took place in 2018, there are still a handful of “no” votes that are still members of #MoLeg . A few names in particular jumped out at me…
Current MO Sen Rick Brattin was in favor of marrying off 12-year-olds. He said so in his opposition to this bill. He’s also the author of the amendment that banned books from MO public schools that contain what he deems inappropriate content for minors.riverfronttimes.com/news/missouri-…

From @PROMOMissouri: On Tuesday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m., the MO House General Laws committee will hold a public hearing for a transgender athlete ban (SB39) and a transgender healthcare ban (SB49). #MoLeg
SB39 bans transgender kindergarten through college athletes in public, private, & charter schools from participating in sports. Any schools, incl colleges, that allow trans athletes to participate in sports according to the student’s gender will lose 100% of their state funding.

🧵Bad faith actors in @rockwoodschools have spent a lot of time, money & energy defaming the Rockwood NEA and in turn, their members (70%+ Rockwood educators). The 3 RNEA endorsed candidates have continually kept their focus on the students & building upon an excellent district.


Now let’s talk about who’s funding all of the attack ads directed at educator-endorsed candidates. Missouri First PAC, which is a dark money PAC who is funneling money through their 501c4 (nonprofit) Freedom Principle MO, is responsible for these ads.


What’s their goal? Their goal is to completely destroy MO public schools. You don’t have to believe me, just read the words of their President, Byron Keelin:

“I would like to see all public schools turned into piles of rubble & sell the bricks off for charity.”
