I have a story out today in the @NewYorker. This is a story that asks you to think about, as one expert put it to me, "the ways that human trafficking intersects with the legitimate economy." newyorker.com/news/a-reporte…
This is also a story about people who have survived trafficking, and I hope it reveals the incredible extent of their resiliency.
The piece is part of Trafficking Inc., a reporting collaboration with @ICIJorg @reuters @NBCnews @WGBH @washingtonpost @ARIJNetwork @PCIJdotOrg + the newsroom that I’m now a part of: @UCBerkeleyIRP icij.org/investigations…
@ICIJorg @Reuters @NBCNews @WGBH @washingtonpost @ARIJNetwork @PCIJdotOrg @UCBerkeleyIRP And I have to give a big thanks to @mcgrawcenter and @janesasseen for providing critical financial and editorial support through the McGraw Business Journalism Fellowship mcgrawcenter.org/the-harold-w-m…
@ICIJorg @Reuters @NBCNews @WGBH @washingtonpost @ARIJNetwork @PCIJdotOrg @UCBerkeleyIRP @mcgrawcenter @janesasseen Especially grateful to Elizabeth, Anastasia and everyone else who shared their expertise, experience and stories with me.
Hope you'll check out the piece.
