Law has been defeated by Blackbeard, and the damage done seems so great that it is hard to imagine how he will recover. He has lost his crew, his submarine, and even his hat.
It seems inevitable that this means Law's retirement from being a Pirate. But what will he do instead?
Law's new dream since Doflamingo was defeated is to discover the meaning of the 'Checkered Fate.' To this end, he needs to discover the 'True History'
This is goal to learn the True History is actually the same dream as Robin's. Robin wants to learn the truth that Ohara found.
Robin has already helped Law to find and understand some of the Poneglyphs, including the Road Poneglyph at Wano. Together they discovered the ancient resting place of Pluton. The Lost of Ancient Wano.
Law will likely continue on this quest despite his defeat. But how?
It is possible that Law may actually use this secret sunken city beneath Wano as a place to hide whilst he recovers.
It would be possible for Law to use his power to hide within the sunk city of old Wano.
I believe that Law will initially refuse to accept the consequences of the defeat and will vow to return to the battlefield against Blackbeard, Luffyy & Kid.
This will be where I believe that Sabo will come in to Law's story.
In ch. 1086, it was revealed that Sabo is one of the characters with 'The Checkered Fate.'
This is defined as those who's lives always seem to revolve around the D. Clan.
In the same chapter Ivankov mentions the secret power of Law's Devil Fruit. "The Eternal Youth Operation."
It seems likely that Sabo will see the news of Law's defeat and seek him out. The Revolutionary Army need to learn more about Law's power, and even better if they can have it on their side.
I believe Sabo will invite Law to join the Revolutionary Army!
Sabo and Law's mission would be to seek out more information about Imu and the True History.
In order to do so, they will have to seek out people who can help them, such as Vivi & Robin. Or people who may have information, same as Doflamingo!
Doflamingo was the first one to mention the secret power of the Op Op no Mi, the 'Eternal Youth Operation.' It seems likely that Law will explain this to Sabo, and together the will decide to go and question Doflamingo.
Law and Sabo break in to Impel Down!
Doflamingo would be very entertained by the irony of Law coming back to him for information. He has probably anticipated that this would one day happen.
I believe Doflamingo will help them because he also wants to see the Celestial Dragons defeated.
Doflamingo will likely tell them the truth about "Mariejois National Treasure" and how it connects to the power of the Op Op no Mi & the story of Nerona Imu.
This may lead us in to a Doflamingo & Mariejois flashback.
"On that specific day years ago."
Once Law and Sabo have learned this secret, the next step of their plan will likely be to find Vivi. This was the task that Cobra gave to Sabo just before he died.
Sabo will tell Vivi what he heard about Lili, and that, like Luffy & Law, she shares the moniker 'D.'
Of course, Vivi is currently with Morgans. If they are able to find Vivi, they will also likely cross paths with Morgans.
I believe Morgans will learn what they have discovered, and insist that they must let him expose this 'Big News!' to the world.
I have mentioned before that I believe that Vivi & Morgans will end up using Vegapunk's Punk Records to make a global broadcast in which Vivi will address the world & reveal the story of Nefertari D. Lili.
"My name is Queen Nefertari D. Vivi..."
Combining these two ideas, I now believe that this speech will also expose the truth about Nerona Imu & the National Treasure of Mariejois.
If this were to become their plan, it would lead them to Egghead. Will they make it in time for the foretold 'Great Incident'?
If Law, Sabo & Vivi expose all of these truths to the word, then Dragon will almost certainly decide that it is time to make a move personally.
Dragon will come to Egghead to support them an reunite with Vegapunk & Luffy.
If all of this were to happen, then that means that the 'Great Incident' of the 'Future Island' Egghead, will be the storm that it is said the 'D' clan will bring once more.
I believe that this is Law's future role:
Law will join the Revolutionary Army!

A Cenotaph, from the Greek, "κενοτάφιον." Refers to an empty tomb that is erected in honour of the deceased whose remains are elsewhere or otherwise lost.
In this theory, I will focus on the Cenotaph that seems to sit in the centre of Alabasta's royal crypt.
Let's get in to it.
It seems that this empty tomb in Alabasta's royal crypt represents a parallel to the Empty Throne at Mariejois.
I believe that this cenotaph is supposed to represent the tomb of Nefertari D. Lili.
Back in chapter 1084, Cobra mentioned that Lili never made it home to Alabasta.
In this theory, I will try to convince you not only that Akainu will be the main antagonist of Elbaf arc, but also that Dragon and Kuzan will both become directly involved.
Let's get in to it.
What could possibly lead to Akainu becoming the main antagonist of the arc, and what could bring both Kuzan and Dragon into the picture as well?
Oda is distracting us with the emotion of Robin and Saul's reunion, so we're not paying attention to the broader implications.
The concept of the Sun God Nika was first introduced to us in chapter 1018, during Jinbe's fight with Who's Who.
Who's Who told us of the legend of a warrior who it is said will one day free the slaves. A Warrior of Liberation!
Although we had not heard of this before. This legend seemed familiar to us already.
This is because Oda planted the seed for it was back in Skypiea. Through this scene of Luffy and the crew dancing at a bonfire. All the way back in chapter 253.
