2) Most are familiar w/sequence of events leading to the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Víctor Shokin - as the direct result of political and financial pressure from then-VP Joe Biden.
This thread, which focuses on Shokin timeline, is a good refresher:
5) But once Biden succeeded in getting Shokin officially fired on March 29, 2016, (he was pushed aside a few weeks prior) there was now a new focus and a new directive — finding the proper replacement for Shokin.
6) Despite Shokin's removal, the Burisma investigation was still technically open.
More importantly, Latvian authorities had identified money laundering activities involving Hunter in Feb 2016.
7) Poroshenko appointed Yuriy Sevruk as Shokin's replacement the same day as Shokin's firing.
But it seems likely that Poroshenko was not entirely sure of the criteria for Shokin's replacement.
Blue Star (hired by Burisma at Hunter's urging) began vetting Sevruk in April 2016.
8) We know that John Buretta, Karen Tramontano and Sally Painter attended an April 6, 2016 meeting w/Sevruk in Kiev, according to Blue Star’s memos.
It seems they found him unsuitable for ending all investigations into the full sequence of events.
9) Enter Former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko who was appointed Ukraine’s new prosecutor general on May 12th - replacing Sevruk.
The day AFTER Lutsenko was appointed there was a call between Biden & Poroshenko where Biden finally freed up the $1 billion funding to Ukraine.
10) It's unknown if Hunter was alerted (by email cc) to this call as he was to two later calls that took place on May 27th w/Poroshenko and a later June 15th WH meeting between Biden and Ukrainian Prime Minister Groysman.
Regardless, the new prosecutor was in & the funds freed.
11) On May 27, 2016 - another call between Biden and Poroshenko — Hunter was cc'd on the scheduling email.
Why would Hunter need to know of this call...? Perhaps some final cleanup was in order.
Joe Biden's assistant sent it to Biden's pseudonym email address with Hunter cc'd. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
12) Three days later, on May 30, 2016, Lutsenko fired Sevruk - who had been demoted to deputy prosecutor general under Lutsenko when Lutsenko replaced Sevruk as prosecutor general on May 12th.
There was now a clean slate all around.
13) On this same day Nellie Ohr, wife of DOJ official Bruce Ohr sent an email to Bruce and three other DOJ officials disclosing the existence of the Ukraine Black Box that was supposedly in NABU's (Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau) possession. theepochtimes.com/us/ties-to-ukr…
14) At the time, Nellie Ohr was working for Glen Simpson's Fusion GPS doing "open-source" opposition research on the Trump campaign.
It's important to note that no one outside of Ukraine knew of the Black Box when Nellie sent her email.
It would later be used to target Manafort
15) It's also important to note that in January 2016 the FBI began discussions to enter into a memorandum of cooperation with NABU.
By Feb 2016, the FBI had a rep onsite at NABU. By June 2016 they had an office.
Why would the FBI suddenly need to be physically present at NABU?
16) On Feb. 18, 2016, one week after the first FBI representative was installed at NABU, authorities in Latvia flagged those series of "suspicious" financial transactions linked to Hunter Biden, Devon Archer & two other individuals involved w/Burisma.
It was never investigated.
17) It was later reported that “a series of loan payments totaling about $16.6 million that were routed from companies in Belize and the United Kingdom to Burisma through Ukraine’s PrivatBank between 2012 and 2015"
18) Latvia claimed that a portion of those funds were transferred to Hunter, Archer & two unnamed persons, one of whom was a U.S. citizen.
A Latvian official said “his government received no criminal evidence from Ukraine and thus took no further action on the investigation.”
19) It seems hard to believe that the FBI, with its new presence within Ukraine’s anti-corruption offices, was unaware of these transactions.
Or never became aware after the fact...
20) June 15, 2016 - Joe Biden met w/Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman at WH & announced plans to commit an additional $220 million to Ukraine that year.
Hunter was again cc'd on the scheduling email for this event/day.
21) June 30, 2016 - NABU and the FBI entered into a memorandum of understanding that allowed for an FBI office onsite at NABU offices.
NABU has repeatedly refused to make the memorandum with the FBI public and went to court in 2018 to prevent its release. web.archive.org/web/2023013018…
22) Existence of Black Ledger docs would be made public by NYT on 8-14-16.
NABU published the Black Ledger documents on August 18th, followed by a press conference from Serhiy Leshchenko.
Recall that Alexandra Chalupa had been working on Manafort/Ukraine & the Trump Campaign.
23) Here is where speculation comes into play:
Once Biden had sorted out the prosecutor situation in Ukraine, he needed to make sure his actions stayed quiet.
All the more so because it seems impossible to believe Obama didn't have at least a general idea of what was going on.
24) It seems likely to me that the whole coverup was more to protect Obama than to protect Biden.
And if that's true, they couldn't afford to have Trump poking around as the new president.
Thus, the sudden and intensified targeting of the Trump campaign in spring-mid-2016.
25) This also explains the explosion of attacks on Trump once he became president.
It further explains why the DNC lost its collective mind when Trump started poking around in Ukraine re: Biden.
If Trump was allowed to continue, he would have discovered all that Biden was doing
26) All of this brings us to the larger issue surrounding this story.
It’s not just Joe Biden who’s corrupt. Most of DC operates in a similar fashion - although they have the intelligence to cover their tracks by using a public guise of “Foundations” or “Presidential Libraries.”
27) Biden was an amateur compared to the Clintons, Obama - or even McCain.
But that’s also why Biden has been shielded from investigation.
It’s not because they care about Joe Biden - or even his presidency.
It’s because they don’t want to be exposed themselves.
28) John Brennan - along w/4 other CIA Directors - signed a letter claiming Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation. It was a lie.
Brennan was CIA Director during Joe Biden's actions in Ukraine.
Obama had to know as well.
It appears the lie went far beyond the laptop.

1) There has been ongoing confusion surrounding the timing and actions of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin - the man whom Biden pressured Ukrainian President Poroshenko to fire.
One of the ways this has been done — intentionally or otherwise — has been to conflate the actions of Shokin's predecessor, Vitaly Yarema, with Shokin.
May 12, 2016 - Yuryi Lutsenko appointed as prosecutor general of Ukraine - replacing the recently appointed Sevruk... kyivpost.com/post/10120
May 13, 2016 - call between Biden & Poroshenko.
Biden “informed President Poroshenko that the United States was prepared to move forward with the signing of the third $1 billion loan guarantee agreement” that was conditioned on Poroshenko firing Shokin. obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-offi…
The FBI presence onsite happened exactly as Biden was forcing the firing of Burisma prosecutor Shokin.
The stated purpose of having FBI onsite at the Ukraine offices was to trace "monetary flows."
Which is very odd.
Because on February 18, 2016, AFTER the FBI was already in place, authorities in Latvia flagged a series of ‘suspicious’ financial transactions linked to Hunter Biden and others involved with Burisma. amac.us/latvia-flagged…
2) Three weeks later, on Nov. 22, VP Joe Biden demanded the removal of Ukraine prosecutor Victor Shokin.
Biden's sudden demand seemed odd as US State Dept officials had previously praised Shokin in the months leading up to Biden's demand for Shokin's removal.
3) In June 2015, Victoria Nuland told Shokin she was “impressed with the ambitious reform and anti-corruption agenda.”
Nuland said that Shokin had demonstrated his ability to “investigate and prosecute corruption and other crimes in an effective, fair, and transparent manner.”
NULAND: I think Yats [opposition leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk] is the guy who’s got the economic experience, the governing experience. What he needs is Klitsch and Tyahnybok on the outside. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Pyatt: "we want to try to get somebody with an international personality to come out here & help to midwife this thing..."
Nuland: "Sullivan's come back to me saying you need Biden & I said probably tomorrow for an atta-boy and to get the deets to stick. So Biden's willing." twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Here’s what actually happened:
On or before Feb 4 2014 – Call between Pyatt & Nuland.
Feb 22, 2014 – Yanukovych removed as President of Ukraine.
Feb 27 2014 – Yatsenyuk was installed as Prime Minister of Ukraine. Klitschko left out.
