In the name of Allah SWT, the most merciful. After setting up two ad-hoc committees to complete a minor assignment three weeks ago in selected Islamic Schools in Kaduna North.
I went ahead to release the sum of one million naira only to the sub committees to pay the tuition fees of underprivileged pupils in various Islamic Schools in Kawo and Shaba Ward.
I stated that I will do the same for two other wards the following week. So, I released an additional sum of one million naira for the same to be done in Gabasawa Ward and Unguwar Dosa Ward.
The following week, I announced that I had released the sum of one million naira for the same to be done in Unguwar Dosa and Badarawa/Malali Ward. I then went on to release another one million targeted at pupils in Gaji Ward and Unguwar Liman Ward.

I am deeply humbled and at the same time challenged by my appointment today, by the leadership of the 10th House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the Chairman of the House Committee on Banking Regulations.
My profound appreciation goes to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Tajuddeen Abbas, our Royal Prince and leader, as well as the Selection Committee for finding me worthy of this high responsibility.
I will also like to thank my pensionable and permanent boss, the Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Senator @UbaSaniUs for his continuous support and guidance. Thank you for all you have taught me. Humility, patience, team work, tolerance and compassion.
I am pleased to hear that the ad hoc committee I setup to fence the Baptist in Graveyard in Hayin is already working. Under the Chairmanship of Reverend Elisha Bulus, the ad hoc committee paid a visit to the site to ensure the project is completed in two weeks.
During the campaign, I did the same to the cemetery in my Ward, Kawo, in order to ensure that the souls of our loved ones are resting in dignity. I bought the land next to the graveyard in order to expand the Kawo cemetery. It was a graveyard for Muslims.
Fairness dictates I do the same to a Christian graveyard in our dear constituency. The issue of Baptist Cemetery was brought to me during the maiden town hall I held with my constituency, a week after I got sworn in. I will continue to maintain an open door policy to everyone.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. I am setting up two ad-hoc committees to complete a minor assignment by Monday. I have released the sum of one million naira only to the sub committees to pay the tuition fees of underprivileged pupils in various Islamic Schools in Kawo and Shaba Ward.
The sub-committee of Kawo will be chaired by AL Amin Murtala Daboh while the one of Shaba Ward will be chaired by Auwal Bakori. Each sub-committee will have 6 members to assist in the disbursement of the funds. I intend to do the same for two other wards by next week.
Thank you very much. The members of the sub-committee are listed below. Allah ya basu karfin rike amana. Thank you.
I am very lucky to be the Member Elect of Kaduna North. I was very scared that some of you might not be supportive of our intentions to help everyone. Ama tsakani da Allah, everyone has been. There will always be challenges.
But so far so good, I would like to personally thank each and everyone of you for the praise, criticisms, prayers and support. I will not let you down and I will work tirelessly to improve the welfare of our people. I wish other elected officials had supporters like you.
I am the one that’s lucky, not you. Insha Allah, my team and I will not get tired of doing what is right and helping everyone. Ana wani hali, ama a yi hakuri. Na tsara abun nan da kyau kuma Allah SWT ya ba ni wakilai da ke kokari.
Update on The Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation/Kaduna State University (KASU) Education Empowerment Initiative.
The Chairwoman of the Ad hoc Committee has reported to me that about 3, 000 students took the CBT in the hope of being accepted into Kaduna State University under the Bashir El-Rufa’i Fund. I’m hoping more students pass the exam so we can sponsor as many as possible.
I would like commend to all the members of the committee for their efforts and hard work pending the submission of their report. The hope is the report will provide us with the chance to correct any wrongs that might have occurred during the process.
