In June 13K Gazans exited via Egypt & 76K in 6 months 2023. That's ~152K/yr or ~8% of Gazans. Rafah border crossing is not controlled by Israel & Gazans travel worldwide using Palestinian Authority passports, no Israeli approval needed. Like this man: 2/

Here is the UN data on exits via Egypt. In 2022 ~145K Gazans left via Egypt and ~100K in 2021 -- the numbers have grown. UN notes that 210 Gazans were denied in June so a 98.5% exit approval rate. You can register with Hamas or pay private company to expedite. 3/

Israel allowed ~42K entrants from Gaza into Israel, 86% are work permits. So ~6K are merchants patients & others. 1,275 were patients at an 82% approval rate. Hamas swears to destroy Israel yet Israel takes in ~15K Gazans each year for medical care when they can go to Egypt. 4/

Here is the UN data on exits for Gazans into Israel. There is no blockade. Just a border crossing with restrictions like any other nation. In 2022 ~425k Gazans entered Israel. 5/

From Jan-Jun 2023 Israel sent ~35K truckloads of good into Gaza. Israel restricts certain dual use goods since Hamas uses them for rockets & tunnels. (But 28% of items are still construction material). So how does Hamas still manage to build its military infrastructure? 6/

Besides rockets & tunnels Gazans use all this construction stuff to build lots of new stuff like this massive luxury auto dealership. But according to UN Gaza is "unlivable by 2020." END
