2. Mark was a local Councillor who raised £millions for Kent Air Ambulance.
He also fought an often lonely battle, including bringing the first case to the European Court of Human Rights from a UK Trans person: see Rees v UK (1986) pfc.org.uk/caselaw/Rees%2…
3. Mark was a truly gentle gentleman to the end. He fought for the rights of Trans people to Respect & Equality. you can hear Mark here
Mark was not just a campaigner, many of us loved him dearly as a friend

1. Other than family & old (sorry but we are) school mates, my former name has not been in the public. But 50yrs ago we didn’t have ‘X’, hell we didn’t even have desktop computers.
For security clearance to work in the Houses of Parliament I had to disclose it. 3 yrs later …
2. … the Security services required our daughter to obtain my former name before she could have security clearance to work in Whitehall, though they already had it it is also in the inner depths of the HMRC computers). She rang me & said she wouldn’t take the post if I did …
3. … not feel able to tell her. Of course I could tell her, it was just a name given up long ago because it distracted people from seeing who I am.
I realised that meant telling all the children (by then young adults, as we had always been open & as truthful (as was age …

1. I want people like you to expand their reading beyond that of the echo chamber (read your stuff & our stuff- we do), to be aware that much of this originates with US far right evangelicals (the ones who think Trump won) & acknowledge how that has distorted the conversation, …
2. … to recognise how this focus on an almost entirely decent, harmless, group of those who transition is out of synch with reality, & is intended to separate us to prevent our finding things in common, to recognise our combined interest in changing boys & men to prevent…
3. … misogyny, to see thaf vested interests don’t want us to converse (some as they are serial perpetrators of harm to women &/or trans people), others to distract us from their fiscal raping
& destruction of the world as they pursue short term personal gain. I want ..

1. Read to the end before answering: Deception can be either a civil or criminal matter. In civil law, where decisions are made on the balance of probabilities, deception is a false statement of fact made by one person, knowingly or recklessly, with the intent that it shall be…
2. .. acted on by another, who suffers damages as a result.
In criminal law Deception is now covered by the Fraud Act. There are 3 types of action that amount to criminal offence of fraud,
- fraud by false representation,
- fraud by failing to disclose information, &
3. … - fraud by abuse of position.
Fraud by false representation requires a person ‘makes "any representation as to fact or law ... express or implied" which they know to be untrue or misleading.
Fraud by failing to disclose information occurs when they are under a legal duty…

1. Ms Butler is right on this. Ask any Doc in a GIC how they diagnose a transgender person, they will tell you they don’t because the condition is self identified, self reported & subjective. A Dr will tell you that they can assess the person for other conditions that could .,,
2. … contribute, the sorts of conditions that make a person think they are Napoleon for example. They will tell you that diagnosing those conditions is comparatively easy. But the defining feature of a trans person is that they don’t have a condition like that, but they …
3. … report feeling like this for a long time AND the transgender ones (in many cases) want cross sex hormones in order to transition, & the very large subset of transitioned people who are transsexual will seek to have gender reassignment surgeries.

1. The term autogynephila is often credited to the Toronto based psychologist Ray Blanchard. But, one of his patients, a trans woman, Dr Anne Lawrence frequently claimed she invented the term. I first met Anne in the mid-1990s. An anaesthesiologist, Anne was from the 1970s …
2. … medical school training of “Dr knows & is always right”. I got to know Anne as a colleague in WPATH (when still known as HBIGDA), so we met twice a year at most for almost 20 yrs. I think she did invent AGP - not from research, but as a way of justifying/excusing her ...
3. … own attraction to women. In the early 1999d, being a gay trans man or a lesbian identified trans woman would have had meant gr treatment being withdrawn.
Blanchard was always into classifying trans people as fetishists whom he could then cure (not that he did, his …

1. The law says the original BC should be given up (if you still have it) & the relationship is severed. Our situation was complicated in that being a trans man, we had been partners for 13 yrs when in 1992 my wife conceived using donor insemination through a licensed clinic. …
2. For my wife (then my partner) to have fertility treatment I had to sign a legal document saying I agreed to the DI, & would act as the father of the children & be fiscally liable until they left education. This was 1992 & meant if we separated I could be chased by the DSS …
3. … for maintenance. My wife was then refused permission by the Secretary of State (seriously) to register me as any sort of parent never mind as father.
In 2005 when I finally was able to obtain gander recognition we got married & started a step parent adoption …
