Jan 6 was an old fashioned intimidation plan in which plotters were careful to shift direct blame to provoke violence. So its not surprising to see, again, a coordinated network of buffoons attacking the constitutional process required to try and convict said conspirators. 
The goal is create an artifical sense of injustice and focus on one person as a "savior". This process is extremely artificial and has been studied by counter insurgency groups for decades. It's a science and an art to get people to do stupid things to empower a scoundrel.
