VIDEO THREAD: On Saturday morning, @DecEmergency climate activists blocked a street in Washington DC again, their third time this week.

This time, several drivers got out of their cars yelling "I wanna go to work!" and grabbing their banners out of their hands. 🎥: @wallendupraw
2) When police arrived, they recognized one of the climate activists blocking the road as having been arrested in a similar act on Wednesday.

"You're under arrest for contempt of court!" an officer declared. Drivers clapped and cheered as he was handcuffed.
3) Police typically give three warnings before arresting road-blockers in DC, but this time, they gave one: "You're not getting three warnings!"

As some began leaving the road, MPD's Jason Bagshaw said "everyone's under arrest" and had all of them cuffed.
4) "Y'all know you haven't done the proper warnings?" said one of the climate activists in handcuffs, having expected three warnings and a chance to avoid arrest.

"We don't have to," an officer told her before all of them, including their police liaison, were taken away.
5) Here is the full @N2Sreports video of Saturday's @DecEmergency road block in DC, where some drivers physically took matters into their own hands before police arrived, filmed by @wallendupraw.

As always, all footage is available to license.

VIDEO THREAD: Ahead of President Trump's arrival at the FultonCounty Jail Thursday, the scene was quite literally a circus.

"Stone him to death for him trying to start a revolution and him trying to steal our elections" suggested a man in a jail costume playing circus music.
2) While Trump was ultimately arrested and released on $200,000 bond without incident, police were well-equipped for the day.

Behind barriers, law enforcement visibly had submachine guns, rifles, less-lethal shotguns, riot shields, and gas masks.
3) Georgia State Senator Colton Moore showed up outside the Fulton County Jail where he said he wants an immediate special session to investigate and defund DA Fani Willis.

"Those people that are being indicted, all they were doing was using their 1st Amendment right to question the integrity of this election, and now they've been taken political prisoner."

VIDEO THREAD: Armed "Boogaloo Boys" led by Mike Dunn rallied tonight at the Thomas Calhoun Walker Education Center in Gloucester County, VA, where last month four men carried handguns to the local school board meeting and were subsequently arrested by the sheriff's department.

Police did not interfere or even show up tonight.

"To the officers that are watching this, you violated the Constitution of the United States. Some day you will answer for these violations, if not before man, you will answer to it before God," Mike Dunn says at his first rally in over two years.

"You disgust us. You are not our brothers," he tells police. "You have no right to fly our flag. You have no right to be an American. You are tories, redcoats, and not patriots."
2) In addition to risking the same felony charges faced by their friends for carrying firearms at the school board, the Boogaloos held an armed prayer ceremony to criticize the Virginia law (in some cases) making it a misdemeanor to carry a firearm in a house of worship.
3) A handful of apparently local counter-protesters showed up to criticize the Boogaloos: "Everybody likes our Second Amendment but get off of our school property with it."

While in agreement about disliking Mike Dunn, they began arguing with themselves over support for police.

VIDEO THREAD: Following a two-year hiatus from street activism and two trips to Ukraine, former Boogaloo movement figure Mike Dunn is planning an armed rally tomorrow against the Gloucester, Virginia Sheriff's Department.

He spoke to myself and an NBC documentary crew about his planned return to activism tomorrow while at an Italian restaurant.

Dunn describes his group "is gonna deliver a warning to that sheriff, to his office, and to anybody who wishes to support him and his jack-booted thugs that he employs" over a recent incident where four people were arrested for carrying firearms to a school board meeting.

"Breaching the constitution will not be tolerated," he told the NBC crew and I.
2) If cops try to arrest Mike Dunn & his crew, he tells NBC crew & me: "we will defend ourselves in the way that the 2nd Amendment intended for us to do."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

Mike: "Don't Antifa me now and be like 'are you going to kill police?'"

Me: "Are you?"

Mike: "We will defend ourselves to any means necessary to pretend any of my boys, my brothers, constitutional citizens, being arrested."
3) Mike Dunn says he's stressed about the armed rally he plans to lead against the Gloucester County Sheriff tomorrow and "I'm willing to defend my boys to the point of this [a cheesesteak] being my last dinner."

Some of his guys "had their wills notarized" he says and he has "written notes to my loved ones."

The Feds are seeking 33 years in prison for Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio (who was not physically at January 6) and Joe Biggs (the highest-ranking Proud Boy on the ground at the Capitol.)

They previously sought 25 years for Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes, who got 18. Image
2) In the government’s argument for the Proud Boys to get between 20 and 33 years in prison each, they include a request to treat the charges as crimes of terrorism.

They say this was done to keep then-President Trump in power.

3) The government claims in their case for two to three decades for each of the five convicted Proud Boys that they should get no credit for acceptance of responsibility.

Six Rankin County local government police officers in Mississippi who called themselves the “goon squad” have plead guilty after breaking into a home without a warrant and torturing the occupants for two hours with guns, tasers, and a dildo.

cnn.com/2023/08/14/us/…
2) According to the charging document, for which the six police officers have now plead guilty to all charges, they entered the home without a warrant and tased and kicked the complying victims even after handcuffing them. Image
3) According to the charging documents for which all six cops plead guilty to all charges, the police then fired a gun into the wall of their home and taunted the handcuffed victims with racial threats before tasing them more. Image

VIDEO THREAD: Tonight, supporters of January 6 defendants gathered for a one-year anniversary celebration of their nightly protests outside the DC jail, which just happened to occur only hours after Trump himself was indicted for January 6.

Here's what I saw!
2. Joseph “Joe the Box” Verderber led the January 6 defendant supporters outside the DC jail tonight in prayer.

"January 6 will be an official day for Ashli Babbitt, and I know this - y'know why?" he concluded. "Because God told me so! Amen, patriots!"
3. Much of the evening looked like a sort of dance/sing-off between the January 6 supporters and counter-protesters.

"DC don't like fascists!" sang @resistcompany on an electric guitar. "Tommy Tatum [@rayeppslawyer] is a fascist!"

"Freedom corner here, we gonna be here 'til the… https://t.co/cAzp5S8ClHtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
