Saturday, a 17-year-old parked her car while thrifting in the area. A trans female in a tent threw a stick at her and called her transphobic. She ignored him and continued to her destination. When she came back to her car this is what it looked like. The person, Vivian Shemansky has a significant criminal record, was arrested after the incident, and has already been released. The car has been declared a total. #portlandhomeless #portlandvandalism #portlandlookslikeshit #portlandpolice #portlandvandalism
This was unintentional “misgendering.”

We’ve heard through our sources that @wweek is going to be releasing a story about the Police Accountability Commission, which they will claim as a “breaking story” when we have been covering it for months. As a reminder, PAC takes 5% of the PPB budget ($256 million) which is… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
We covered earlier this year that the committee paid media consultants, such as cartel connected Lara Media, in excess of $250k in order to simply run their meetings. Lara Media has been accused by other organizations for over-charging for services. At one meeting, we asked the… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Although I agree that PPB and all police bureaus should have accountability to the public for their actions, should these committees be populated by ideologues who hate the police and want them eliminated?
New lawsuit by former Executive Director of the OLCC, Steve Marks claims that he wasn't forced out by Governor Tina Kotek due to the high-end whiskey bottle scandal, but rather because he had gotten in the way of cannabis company's La Mota's plans to deregulate the cannabis… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
This is what we have so far on the Good Samaritan Hospital Shooting on Saturday.
A man who had on previous days been expelled from the hospital while his girlfriend was in its maternity ward came back on Saturday morning, apparently with a large cache of guns in a bag.
Hospital staff alerted security that the man, whom the girlfriend’s family didn’t want around their pregnant relative, had come onto the property and arrived on the 5th floor, where the maternity ward is located.
When a security guard, 44-year-old Bobby Smallwood,
who was unarmed, came to remove the suspect from the property, the suspect shot Mr. Smallwood in the chest, killing him. Shrapnel from the shooting apparently hit a doctor in the leg, injuring him, but not fatally. Another member of the hospital staff, a female nurse,
There is little doubt that a criminal justice reform philosophy is deeply embedded in Oregon’s governing. Let me provide some examples. Multnomah County isn’t funding corrections as several sections of the jail are closed. DA Mike Schmidt doesn’t advocate for victims
or prosecution, and would rather engage in “restorative justice.”Our legislature passes bills such as SB 819 that cuts sentencing by one half. And let’s not forget, our former Governor Kate Brown released over 1000 inmates for clemency, more than all other governors combined
in Oregon’s history.Brown once stated that she was “saving lives” by giving these commutations.
What if an inmate convicted of a Measure 11 violent crime (which carries with it a mandatory minimum of at least seven years in prison with no chance of early release)
I wanted to circle back regarding the six murdered girls. Oftentimes, news orgs just jump from one new headline to another, but this tragedy has never left my mind.
After talking to a couple people in the know today, this is the most recent information I can provide:
When the Hondurans (members of the drug cartels) started becoming more prevalent, they moved quickly against local drug gangs. They either killed or hired local drug personnel in order to control the local drug industry.
Many of the larger homeless camps are running not only drugs through them, but women. There is some indication that local law enforcement contacted some of these women in order to use them as confidential informants. I believe, as many others do, that this was the reason that… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
While the local police department decided to have the audacity to lecture the general population about the supposed lack of connections among the six deceased women who have been found since February, here is what has been released about six women: 1/11
Kristin Smith: She went missing around the Mall 205/Gateway Transit Center in December of 2022. Her body was discovered off of 138thand SE Flavel (near a park and a large homeless camp) two months later. Her family was concerned about her being sex trafficked, 2/11

Charity Lynn Perry: Family said that she suffered from “extreme mental health issues, including schizophrenia.” Although from Longview, WA, she was known to frequent 3/11
