1/ Mobilised Russians who joined the 'Wolves' mercenary group say they are being threatened with execution if they don't go to the front line, despite being untrained. They have not been rotated for months due to manpower shortages caused by huge casualties. ⬇️ Image
2/ In April 2023, some mobiks were reportedly ordered at gunpoint to sign contracts transferring them from the Russian Army's 352nd Motorised Rifle Regiment to the Wolves private military company. Others seem to have been recruited directly from training.
3/ Since then, ASTRA reports, the men have been sitting in positions in Ukraine for six months without a break, due to a lack of manpower to rotate them. The Wolves are known to have been positioned around Bakhmut.
4/ According to the wife of one of the men:

"My husband was mobilised in September 2022. He was sent to Kursk to the training ground, for some time he was with PMC Wagner, until in April 2023 PMC Wolves came to the training ground.
5/ "They began to lure people to them: "You will come to us, we will train you, dress you, you will have a rotation. Two weeks in the position, two weeks on holiday."
6/ Some of the guys agreed, as there was no real choice: either go to the PMC Wolves, or stay with Wagner, who were in the thick of it. As a result, those who went to Wolves are sitting for the sixth month.
7/ "No one changes their positions, once a month they allow someone to go out to buy cigarettes and that's it.

Now the leadership of the Wolves is changing, and there are not enough people on the front line.
8/ "The command (call signs: "Kedr", "Baghdad", "Kosta" and "Tsin") said that all those mobilised would be stormtroopers and would soon go to the front line. Naturally, the guys raised a fuss. Without training, it is impossible, it will clearly mean death.
9/ "The [army] unit said that "we have no influence on the Wolves": On 1 July, the Wolves signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence. They were also told: "You will all go there. Today, tomorrow, it's just a matter of time."
10/ "My husband has already travelled to the combat zone. And everyone who was there came back wounded and concussed. Nobody wants to go there anymore. However, if they refuse, they will be hanged for desertion, for example."
11/ She says that in July a group of wives went to the unit. The deputy regiment commander told them: "Do you know how many 200s [killed] we have at the front? We don't have people, do you understand?"
12/ "We have no one to replace everyone. Girls, what rotation?" According to the wife, the discussion was recorded and he was fired after it became public.

The men are also not being paid what they are owed, according to their relatives.
13/ The relatives have written appeals to the Russian military authorities, but as usual they have received no useful replies. /end

1/ Yevgeny Prigozhin reportedly designated a Wagner fighter called 'Lotus' as his successor if the entire Wagner leadership was lost. However, this is now in doubt, as are further Wagner deployments to Africa, and remaining fighters will likely sign Russian MOD contracts. ⬇️ Image
2/ According to the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel, a source says that Prigozhin left intructions on how the Wagner Group was to react in various scenarios, including his own elimination and that of his lieutenants Valery Chekalov and Dmitry Utkin.
3/ If the entire leadership was killed, after their deaths were confirmed the leadership of Wagner was to pass to a fighter with the callsign Lotus. He was to become the new commander immediately after Prigozhin's funeral.

1/ More cases are being reported of wounded Russian and 'DNR' soldiers being imprisoned rather than receiving medical treatment. In some instances this is apparently happening as part of a military-run extortion racket. ⬇️

1/ The Russian Ministry of Defence was reportedly "rather briskly wiping Wagner out" of its projects in Africa and Syria in order to "strangle" it, prior to Yevgeny Prigozhin's death. This prompted his final and ultimately fatal visit to Moscow. ⬇️ Wagner Group mercenary in the Central African Republic
2/ The Russian investigative journalist Andrey Zakharov, who has reported previously on the Wagner Group's affairs, says that sources have told him that its overseas operations were rapidly being liquidated by the Russian government despite assurances from Putin.
3/ According to Zakharov, "Before his death, Prigozhin was allegedly told to get out of Syria together with Wagner.

1/ Deputies in Russia's State Duma are reportedly celebrating Yevgeny Prigozhin's death: "Yefim [Prigozhin] died — well, fuck him." They are in no doubt that Putin had him killed, but say they are happy about it: "we are dancing," says one deputy. ⬇️ Image
2/ The independent Russian news outlet Verstka has been interviewing Duma deputies about Prigozhin's death. "Everyone is shocked but, I would say, happy," a deputy says. His colleagues "unequivocally think it's revenge" by Putin after the Wagner Group's mutiny in June.
3/ Another deputy says "there are zero alternatives" to the theory that Putin had Prigozhin killed. He believes Prigozhin should have been eliminated two months ago after his mutiny; now, "we are dancing."

1/ A Russian marine, suffering from concussion, hearing loss and shell shock, says he was sent to Robotyne to be "disposed of". He was imprisoned and forced to pay a bribe to avoid being beaten, after he was refused medical assistance, and was then sent into a suicidal attack. ⬇️ Image
2/ ASTRA reports that two marines from the 810th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade, Zakhar Blokhin and "R.K.", were "placed in the punishment cell of the military commissariat in occupied Tokmak." They both wanted medical assistance and had said they could not continue fighting.
3/ In R.K.'s case, he "wrote a report that he could not fight due to his moral and psychological state." He says in a subsequent audio recording that he is "just having a lot of panic attacks" following two earlier concussions which likely caused traumatic brain injuries.

1/ While Yevgeny Prigozhin is away in Africa, back in Russia the Wagner Group is reportedly being looted by its managers and employees. Millions of rubles a month are said to be stolen through a variety of scams.
2/ According to the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel, the looting is being overseen by Prigozhin's deputy Valery Chekalov, under whom "the company began to actively steal assets in a variety of ways."
3/ "One of the most common ways is to accumulate so-called "dead souls" [fake employees] in the staff and receive salaries for them. Mostly financiers and accounting staff are profiting in this way. In some departments, the number of such "zero" employees reached 30-40 people.
